Okay, so this is how the gatherings work. You may bring any cat, you may bring more then one, however if the cat disobeyed the code or was lax in duties then obviously they shouldn't be there as gatherings are privilages. You do NOT have to wait for the clans leader to show up, but the leaders will only speak as one, so they all must be present and if you play a high position that cat must go unless occupied or hurt with clan bussiness. You cats can cause mischief, and please let there personalities show. Creating tension is part of making plots grow.
_____________________ The journey to reach the island was not such a voyage for Riverclan as it was for the other clans. Being much closer to the island meant that they didn't have to plan ahead as throughly. Hailstar lead his clan through the reeds and grasses taking a quick yet easy pace to the island. His form displayed no real telling emotion of what he had planned for the gathering. What news the tom would tell the rest was a mystery. His mind was like a bee's nest, raging with thoughts and matters he was shuffling through, debating on what to bring to the clans attention and what to leave out. Gray blue eyes, filtered through the path ahead, yet he could not tell if it were light or dark. His vison was clear and he could see where his paws were going, but not his destination. Starclan had given him no signs, so he was taking matters into his own paws.
Gatherings were generally peaceful times, but things might be worse for the wear after tonight. For now the moon shone big and bright, not fortelling of any bad omens. The clans had been peaceful, but Hailstar was not prepared to let it last. He had been thinking things over for some time since he had gained leadership, which was only a few moons ago. The grey tabby was a young leader, but had seen enough to judge his own motives towards his decisions lately. He was going to cause a stir, and how the others reacted to it, well that remained to be seen. Riverclan had been badly hurt during leafbare, as the prey had not been favorable to them. With the recent shift in temperature the prey was returning slowly, but he felt compelled to make his clan stronger, and for that they needed more land. If it came down to it, he was prepared to lay down his life and fight as he had sworn to do since he was born.
Not normally the jolliest soul in the clans, he would voice his opinion strongly if needed and would let the other leaders know that though fewer Riverclan was still strong. He had his eyes set on the lake and looking around, he could see other places where the clan could grasp prey. Jumping onto the fallen tree he crossed over its length and bounded into the clearing. They were the first ones to arrive, so he waited near the fallen branches where he and the other leaders sat. Hailstar looked fondly of getting to greet the other clans, but he hoped that he wasn't being too forceful, he was ready to do anything at this point.

To be blunt, ShadowClan was weak. They had a lack of warriors, apprentices, queens...Icestar didn't want to think of how easy it would be for another Clan to press an attack on his land. That's why this gathering was vital for giving a good impression, not matter how few cats stalked within his territory these moons. He also had to refrain himself from being too, ah, what did his sister always call him? Well, he couldn't get under any leader's fur tonight, no matter how great the urge was.
With a short sigh, the leader paused before the log that lead to the island. A memory flashed in his mind, of his mother telling him and his sister of how the great log came to fell and connected the sacred island to the clans. Something about a traitor named...Mudclaw? Ah, it didn't matter, not now. He pulled himself together, and the stress on his face faded into the normal expression of amusement. He turned and looked at the measly lot he brought and addressed them, keeping his voice from growing too serious, "Alright, if I hear of any loose tongues blabbering about our numbers...I'll personally claw your ears off. ShadowClan is thriving, as far as they know." And with that, the white tom leaped onto the log and padded across it, sighting of Hailstar on near the fallen branches as well as the rest of RiverClan.
As his clan-mates cleared in, Icestar sat beside the blueish tabby. Admittedly, he almost wished for the other two Clans to greet first. The young, pretty Sparrowstar would certainly be amusing company, especially since he'd never been able to get a few words in alone before, and with Slatestar, he could see just how easy it was too-...oh no, Icestar had to be on his best behavior tonight. No clever comments under this full moon. Maybe it was better for Hailstar to be here first.
Clicking his tongue, his blue eyes met that of RiverClan's leader, "Fairing well?" His tone was a bit drone, but polite enough...at least for him. Icestar took his eye's off the tabby and began to groom the dust that had collected on his pelt. His wonderful white coat stood out oh so well against the moon's rays, but even the merest speck of dirt would stand out like a hare in ShadowClan.

RUNNINGSTORM The gray tom walked with a stumbled gait while keeping his gaze on the leader. The deputy was sensing something that kept his fur on end and made his stomach turn. Despite the lack of StarClan’s voice, which normally would say little was needed for the clans to keep the peace, Runningstorm sensed that peace wasn’t going to happen. The steel gray cat tried to keep up with his leader, ahead of the warriors but just a step behind Hailstar, though his green eyes kept glancing back nervously. This normally wasn’t like him, in all honesty, but he just could sense something. His mind probably just wasn’t working properly from lack of sleep. That had to be it. He tried to keep his head held high and face clean of any worries.
Perhaps he’d have a chance to speak with Eagleflight, the WindClan deputy, or Ivymask, the ShadowClan deputy. While he was new to this stand still, he was older than Ivymask and Eagleflight combined. Of course, that didn’t rightly mean they were experienced either. He kept the opinion to himself on how young all these leaders and deputies were. Perhaps it was good to get a young and fresh perspective however. Finally, the clan came to the log that allowed them to cross to the gathering. Hailstar lead them across, showing nobody else had arrived. Runningstorm normally would have approached and spoken with Hailstar, but he could tell the tom would need his thoughts to himself.
Perhaps it was just him being paranoid due to the look of their warriors. It had been a very harsh leaf-bare and they all looked worse for wear. Runningstorm, normally such a skinny and lanky tom to begin with, knew he looked no more than fur on bones. Having always preferred to assure all the kits, queens, and elders were fed, paired alongside his poor sleeping habits, it was of no surprise that he seemed malnourished beyond survival. He sat to the side, keeping to himself rather than conversing with others, though he did give a glance towards the next clan to arrive, ShadowClan. WindClan and ThunderClan had yet to arrive, but he knew once they did, StarClan should watch closely. Things never stayed peaceful for this long, not among cats of the clans.

& what lies lurk in kisses- - - - for that face that launched a thousand ships Eagleflight padded towards the gathering area with a calm and subtle authority. Outside, he portrayed a cat that had no worries about his clan. On the inside, the tom was very nervous. What might be said by him or any cat could have the other clans ready to attack them after the full moon gathering. Windclan couldn't afford such costs, even if they had a larger quantity of cats. Prey was well but not enough and Eagleflight feared Shadowclan might sense their weakness. Wrinkling his nose, he held in a snarl. The Egyptian Mau despised the snakes for cats and he knew it was an unfair judgement but the stories of Shadowclan driving out Windclan and treating them like scum hung in the back of his mind and he did his best not to hold a serious grudge against in cat in particular.
Eagleflight's gaze turned to Hailstar, Riverclan's leader, who had apparently arrived first from the talk of his clan. The Riverclan leader was fairly new and the tom was somewhat weary of him. He never knew what the slippery cats had up their fur and it had him on edge. He was excited to know what would happen, exciting or not. Turning his head, he glanced back to make sure Soaringpaw was keeping herself together. This would be her first gathering and he held high hopes for her. He knew she'd make friends easily with the other apprentices but hoped she wouldn't get too friendly. Slowly, he dropped behind to the young apprentice and murmured quiet enough for no other cat to hear, "Remember to have fun, Soaringpaw. Also remember not to let slip anything that may make our clan appear weak and vulnerable. Same as for gloating, some clans are greedy and will want to take anything good of ours away." He looked her in the eyes and winked playfully and then in a normal tone said, "You'll make plenty of friends.
Spotting Shadowclan's white-furred leader, Eagleflight couldn't help but let his fur ruffle up momentarily. Keep it together, Eagleflight. You're Windclan's second representative, remember that. The tom started speaking something to his warriors and Eagleflight listened as best is he could with interest. "Loose tongues... personally... claw... off" Chuckling, he could already guess what was being said to the warriors. Holding his head pridefully, the Windclan deputy was sure that his warriors wouldn't need to be told that. Of course, that was his bias opinion.
Eagleflight looked around for any cat interesting and spotted Runningstorm. Though Riverclan's deputy, he was a smart and respectable cat. Eagleflight held no ill-will towards the older and more experienced warrior. Casually slipping over, he dipped his head with respect. "Runningstorm, how's the prey going on your side of the territory?" His tone was friendly and calm, bearing no bitterness or hard-heart. The scent of fish hung strongly on his fur and Eagleflight did his best not to wrinkle his nose, he didn't wish to offend the older tom.
A calm breeze combed through his short an spotted fur, and the deputy looked at the night sky. Everything seemed calm and the night had no sign of a cloud, not even a wisp. As if that would last for long. All leaders were sure to share something that would step on the other's tail, even if it were unintentional. It seemed everything that was said would get under the fur of any cat. He was no exception. If anything was directed, even subtly, to Windclan in a threatening way, Eagleflight was sure to give his say in it. He would never sit back and let his clan be unjustly accused of anything. Even justly.

Thunderclan is officially absent from this gathering, no cats of Thunderclan may post. Eagleflight will be taking over for Sparrowstar during the meeting unless I get a pm from Juliet.

_____________________ Hailstar waited patiently, the night was young and fresh, but the other clans were taking there time getting there. Though just as he was about to comment such to Runningstorm his deputy, the tom focused the movement he heard from the fallen tree and the pure white pelt of Icestar crossed over. Being too far away he hadn't heard the tom's critical instructions to his clan, but he knew of Icestar and his tendancies fairly well since even before leadership Hailstar had known of the disputes Icestar had caused all the clans not just Riverclan. Slatestar had quite a reputation there as well, but the steel gray tom was absent as was Thunderclan for the moment.
Lifting a brow in interest as Icestar made his way over, Hailstar noticed that the tom seemed to be level tempered thus far. Well since he had yet to glare at anyone present that is. Shadowclan's leader sat down and began stroking his fur cleaning his already very neat fur, and spoke up in an even yet oddly friendly greeting.
Nodding his head curtly in acknowledgement of his fellow leader, he turned to face him and wrapped his long puffy tail around his paws snugly. Shadowclan was once known for taking advantage of the other clans at the slightest hint of weakness. Riverclan shared a border with them so he was cautious of the icy tom. His clan was not at its best and even under his thicker coat, his bones were eerily showing through. Hailstar had refused to eat until his clan was fed, and though he was a bit thinner than normal, he knew his warriors needed to appear strong. They were many he noticed compared to the shadowclan cats present. " Riverclan is strong." He had not said they were doing fantastic because anyone looking closely could see the lack of girth to the clan, however he was making it clear that they were not to be easily trampled on just in case Icestar was in an ambitious mood. I can't really blame him if he is though, I myself am looking for opportunity. His clan looks few, Thunderclan has yet to show up His ears perked as Eagleflight lead Windclan across the bridge. He noted that Sparrowstar seemed absent though she could be just bringing up the rear. Attention back to Hailstar, he spoke in a friendly enough manner. " I hope leafbare has kept Shadowclan well." Hailstar was genuine in that comment and his face betrayed no woe threat there. He was noticing the lack of Thunderclan and the lack of Windclan's leader, perhaps those clans would be better pickings, and perhaps he might find an alley in Shadowclan.

_____________________ Soaringpaw was bursting with repressed excitement, she felt like her paws were going to start carrying her into the air. She was going to her first gathering, and she had only just started her training recently. She had barely been able to contain her joyous out cry when Eagleflight had told her. Strutting next to the tabby tom, his broad shoulders and much bigger form leading her to the island, she for once was holding in her questions. Instead she was looking all around Windclan had to travel past Horseplace to get to the fallen tree and though she had seen it from afar she had never trained near it. The animals that were taller then the wooden sticks keeping them at bay were not present though, and she couldn't help the slight disappointment at not seeing them.
Flicking her tail her eyes widened as she saw her mentor cross the tree. Her paws flashed out and latched onto the slick bark, and she hauled herself up. Not being careful about her footing and clumsily made her way over the branch her cheeks hot from her unease. She figured the cross would have been as solid as the land she pounded her paws on, but the branch had a slight give and it sent shivers down her spine. She had never been afraid to fall before, and with the lake below her it added an extra sense of peril. She landed on the other side and had to force her fur to lie flat. Her mentor had said to have fun and not to speak much about the clan. Not being over her little bought of fear, she walked towards her mentor and sat down near him. She was a little nervous and wanted to get things right, so she figured she would just see what he would do. Looking around she saw two toms talking that were as big as Eagleflight, and there was another much older tom that her mentor was talking to. Looking at her small form, she wondered if she would fill out as much. Those cats had to be from other clans. She spoke, but her voice was small and unsure." Who are those cats?"

Actions//Thoughts//Speaking
Ivymask wasn't one to like Gatherings. Seeing a bunch of cats in one clearing, having to be nice to everyone. Well I guess if she was going to be leader one day she'd have to get use to it. She sighed and followed the small spot of cats off towards the place. Her leader leading the group, Icestar was a good cat. He stood tall even with the knowledge of how weak Shadowclan was. Though maybe it was better that way, after all who would want to see weak Shadowclan cats? That would just be sad, then the other clans would probably be scared for their own health.
Ivymask took up the back of the group, making sure no cats strayed and got lost. They sure didn't need that tonight. She liked trotting behind the group, no one to bother her thoughts. This, after all, was her first gathering as a deputy. The cats in front of her slowly came to a stop before the log that fell. This log lead over to the islands were cats sat blabbering about who-knows-what. Ivymask sat, listening to her leader warn the others. Ivymask already knew the rules but she was going to keep her eyes on the others in her clans. Sometimes you just forget.. plus other clans like to trick you. Ivymask was pretty good at finding out secrets.
She padded across the fallen log with ease. Her eyes catching on the gray pelt of Hailstar. Riverclan had arrived first, they always seem too. Ivymask padded into the group, making sure to stay slightly close to the Leaders. Her eyes laid on Runningstorm, Riverclan's deputy. He was an older tom, yet he would make good company. Ivymask padded over to the tom. "Do you mind? Her gentle voice blended in with the wind as she pointed her tall to the ground. Asking if he minded she sat and talked. Though she didn't really wait for an answer. Instead she sat, striking up a conversation was easy for her.
"I see Windclan decided to show up." She nodded at the group of cats being lead by Eagleflight. Where was their leader? She wondered what happened there, but she'd just have to wait for him to talk. After all thats what the cats were here for. News She smiled and turned back to the tom next to her. "So how is Riverclan doing? It seems like we are going to have to wait for Thunderclan. Those tree-dwellers are never on time." She laughed softly.

& what lies lurk in kisses- - - - for that face that launched a thousand ships "Who are those cats?" Eagleflight shifted to his eager apprentice at her question and half-whispered into her ear, "That large grey tom you see is Hailstar, Riverclan's leader. The white tom," He paused for a slight moment, looking at the far-off leader up and down quickly, "is Shadowclan's leader, Icestar. Take care not to get caught under his deathly gaze. Eagleflight warned her half-heartedly. Straightening up, he commented in a normal tone of voice, "And this is Runningstorm, Riverclan's deputy. Make sure you show him respect, he is a noble cat." Worry flooded him. Where was Sparrowstar? The sleek black she-cat had asked them to go on without her and that if she didn't show, he would need to step up for her.
Sighing, he had hoped she would have just decided to stay at the clan altogether. Now Windclan would look even weaker with Eagleflight just now approaching the great rock. A chill rippled through him but he did his best to fight back the fear. He would make his clan proud and look strong, no matter what it took. He only knew the two leaders would make some sort of nasty comment. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt. Eagleflight chuckled to himself as he repeated the common quote. Glancing at Runningstorm, he stood up. "I apologize for the abrupt departure, but I must represent my clan right now." With a dip of his head, he left to the height of the large and over-looking stone.
He felt bad for leaving Soaringpaw back there but she would be just fine with other young apprentices around. A social butterfly, some may say. Eagleflight walked with his head high and proud, easily climbing up on the rock with agility and speed. Meeting with the two leaders, Eagleflight gave them a courteous nod."Greetings Hailstar, Icestar." Glancing around, it was now that the Egyptian Mau realized the almighty Thunderclan was not present at the gathering. How odd... It seemed like that would be the clan to adhere to the full moon the greatest. Now a burning curiosity flared inside of him.
He felt very uneasy with the two ambitious leaders beside him. Eagleflight prayed to Starclan that a fight would not break the full moon's truce. It was this time that he valued the moon's bright glow. It was almost calming in a way. His watchful gaze swept over the perimeter of the area. Windclan looked fairly large compared to Shadowclan, but he knew all too well the outbreak that spread across the clan. In fact, Eagleflight hadn't even thought about what he was going to say about the clan. Probably not the infectious outbreak of greencough haunting many of the cats. A new fear flooded him and it seemed almost like he was a new leader... and maybe he would be. Sparrowstar seemed fragile and weak and it had been some time since she shared any news on the amount of lives she had left.
It made him... nervous. Very nervous.

WindClan arrived next. Icestar abruptly stopped grooming himself, gaze eagerly searching for the familiar lean frame of Sparrowstar's...and failing to find it. Shame. She was a rather stunning she-cat, with a pelt the same shade as the night sky and eyes a dark blue that stood out beautifully. Now, he'd be put up against a wild card. He had little impression of WindClan's Deputy, in fact, he barely remembered what he looked like. Icestar knew every cat in his own Clan rather well, but wouldn't be able to give the names of half of the high-positions in the other Clans other then their leaders. He simply didn't care enough.
As the tom approached, the leader looked him over as quick and subtly as possible. Tom. Around his age. An interesting coat, brown with black spots covering the length of his fur. Very interesting, in fact. He was lean as usual for any WindClan warrior, and rather- oh, bother. He was getting rather distracted now, wasn't he? Icestar greeted the tom with an odd side glance and smile. "Sparrowstar not her fittest?" he asked, and not waiting for the Deputy to reply, "Shame. It makes one wonder." he clicked his tongue, unable to rid of the slight, half grin. So, WindClan's leader was down for a bit. Wounds from a border fight? He hadn't heard of any Clan tensions of late, and no cats were bristling their fur at each other...couldn't be. A fox or badger attack? Neither were common in the moors, and the beasts had little reason to be aggressive without their nests in the area. So...that left sickness. Lovely! Greencough never claimed one cat, it would spread like a plague through camp and leave them vulnerable. Had ShadowClan not been suffering from low numbers, it would be oh too easy to press an advantage and try and claim some land. Maybe Hailstar would try, but this wonderful opportunity would have to be passed up by Icestar...for now.
As he grew lost in his thoughts, Icestar realized ThunderClan had still yet to arrive. His tail curled; not in his moons had it taken so long for anyone to show up. "ThunderClan's taking their sweet time, aren't they?" he commented, once more clicking his tongue, but this time out of impatience. Lazy half-breeds...

_____________________ Each moment the absence of the final clan was weighing heavily on Hailstar's mind. Thunderclan were renowned for being of a different breed, but even they knew to be at gatherings. Something was very wrong with Thunderclan. The large white tom Icestar was right, Thunderclan was taking way to long to arrive, the moon was high, but it would not stay that way all night. It certainatly wasn't going to wait for Thunderclan. Windclan was another matter, it seemed Sparrowstar was content to miss out on the proceedings, leaving him to wonder just how strong the clan was. The Windclanners seemed to look more bony then usual and even borderline frail. The deputy a thin tabby tom by walked up to the two leaders. Hailstar pulled his name out from seemingly thin air, as he usually was very uninterested in remembering the status of cats in other clans, something he needed to work on more.
It irritated him that Sparrowstar should not be present. This tom had no business sitting where a leader should be if it was even within an inch of there power to do so, and he found it mildly insulting. Still he padded forward to them reguardless of the fact, and greeted them warmly enough. Hailstar thought he seemed nervous, and was now very curious as to the overall strength of Windclan. Surely this warrior knew that he needed to look as strong and wily as possible while his leader was absent. Giving a side look to Icestar in an almost "would you look at this" sort of manner, he gave a mock gruff, and spoke up. " Sparrowstar content to lounge while the rest lead her clan for her, must be a new skill of leadership I missed learning." Bringing a paw up to lick as he finished his jeer, he turned his eyes to the moon again. They had waited for Thunderclan long enough, and Slatestar would have to answer to his ancestors for his absence. Standing up, he addressed the clans, taking charge of this Gathering and getting things moving.
Hailstar was now feeling very confident in his clan for some reason, the manner in which the others were behaving were adding an edge to his otherwise problematic situation. " Let all clans gather to listen!" Riverclan is doing well, and are fit after leafbare, it has not slowed us down. Our warriors are patrolling more frequently the borders. Let all be warned Riverclan will not be bullied, will not tolerate others crossing our territory." He gave a pointed look to Eagleflight addressing the border with Windclan, and then turned to Icestar. "We will honor those that keep to the code."He was referring to Thunderclan's absence, and also pointing out to Icestar that if he were to side with any clan, it would be his. Hailstar was also being fairly aggressive, and would have been lying to his ancestors if he were not about to start some mischief. Riverclan needed more grounds to hunt and he would do what he needed to procure it. He would see what the other leaders would say before adding any more.

SHADESTEP . "So, I assume Sparrowstar and Thunderclan aren't showing up, hm?" she inquired after padding into the moonlit clearing and giving a frown. This - this was a bit unusual on Thundclan's part. Being known as a Clan that are never late to something similar to this, she was confused, in way. It silently frightened the peppy deputy, but she wouldn't show it in front of the Clan's, she'd never give away weakness in a place like this. Windclan was strong, dispite the hard leafbare. Newleaf brought new kits and new beginnings, she couldn't wait to leave and start hunting again like old times!
A fresh kick in her step, sharp green optics wide and demanding. She was the deputy - second to Eaglestar himself. Her gaze sombered a bit, and she glanced towards the Windclan leader with a subtle gaze. She gave the tom a brisk nod and she sat down in the brim of cats, just hoping they could get this Gathering starting without Thunderclan. Not like she hated them, or anything of that sort, but they were a bit too haughty.
She watched with a kindhearted, sharp emerald gaze when Hailstar approached and annonced his upbringings from Riverclan. The Windclan deputy then dipped her head and then smiled "Good to hear Riverclan is doing well!" she encoraged, seeing the Riverclan leader was also a bit bothered about Thunderclan not showing their tails. Nothing like a ego-boost to keep you level-heaed, right?
