Actions//Thoughts//Speaking
Feralclaw's feet beat agiasnt the ground as hard and as fast as he could manage. Of course the she-cat caught up to him. He glanced over, she looked so concentrated and so eager to win their little race. Feralclaw had a feeling from the start that she would win. She caught up pretty fast but seemed to be running along side of him for the moment. He focused his eyes frontward and tried to quicken his speed but there was only a certain speed he could continue at. Shimmer came into his line of sight, which only meant she was passing him. He slowed, defeated and let her pass into the clearing in front of him.
Slowing to a fast trot and came up next to her. Panting with his tongue sticking out, as a dog would. "Okay.. you.. beat.. me. You.. win." He managed in between gasp of air. Wow did he need to get out more and stop flirting with she-cats. He wasn't as fit as he thought. Windclan cats ran often, yet only short distances. He smiled at the she-cat, happy for the exercise. "I haven't free ran like that in forever. He smiled bigger and looked forward.
After catching his breath and letting Shimmer relax a little he decided to was time for a little hunting. He looked over at the she-cat and got up. Walking forward though the small wall that held in the forest. On the other side was a huge meadow. He flicked his tail for her to follow then quietly pushed though the wall. Expecting the field to be filled with rabbit pelts. As he walked though his nose filled with no scent of rabbit and his eyes fell upon nothing but grass and land. No sight of rabbits were to be seen. His jaw dropped in surprise. How could there be nothing at all up here? Feralclaw's eyes turned to look for Shimmer's. A questioning and worried glint within them. He moved forward up the hill to take a look around.

_____________________ She even with her speed, didn't have to wait long as Feralclaw too came up next to her and slowed to a halt. His panting was audible though not dramatically, and she thought he sounded odd. The slightly dog like panting was comical on him, though she thought it would be rude to show her amusement at this after a game, since he lost even more so. Shimerstrike wasn't fickle enough as to show her humorous side against a friend. Since she had decided that he was at least an acquaintance, then she supposed that counted, especially since she had few of those. Fewer still that actually wanted to hang out with her, yes she would behave and not laugh at him, no matter how oddly he sounded after running.
Ferlaclaw commented next on her winning, and she was glad to see that he didn't seem sore over the loss. That and he didn't seem concerned with her play at the game, which meant she had probably gotten it right after all. His smiling caught her off guard again and she found herself slightly closed mouth smiling back at him at first, then the wider smile, made her look away in embarrassment. The brown tabby of course tried to hide it by pretending to survey where they were hunting. She wondered why if he had truly not done that in a while, why had he chosen to do so with her? Perhaps he was bored with everyone else, or she was a tester of how well the game would work. Turning her head back to look at him, she looked at him. He had said that he didn't do that sort of thing often. She wasn't much of a free runner as he was saying it, but she liked to hunt and did it so often that this sort of distance was natural to her. Granted she was tired, and her breath was slightly inhibited during the run, but she was fine now. She wondered if she should offer to help him with breathing exercizes or something, he seemed like a sincere enough tom cat, maybe he would like the offer of help?
She started to ask him " Maybe.. if you want I could ...", but she was quiet in her tone, and he was already moving away so she was not sure he had heard her. Silently she followed, and after he peaked through and looked back to her, she gave a quizzical look back herself, and stepped towards the hills more. Where are the rabbits? There are none in sight, not even other prey. This is weird. She turned back to him, and he was moving up the hill. She hesitated and looked up at him, while speaking in a hushed tone again. " Something isn't right Feralclaw. There is no reason prey shouldn't be here." It was not good to see one of the more prosperous hunting grounds nearly deserted. Not good at all, and she didn't want to go back empty paw and have to explain to the clan that there food supply was now lower then before.
