Cali sat at the edge of the forest. She'd never go to a twoleg and get a home, but it was just something interesting for her to look at. She sighed, thoughts of her sister and brother were on her mind. They were doing so much better than her, she was sure of it. The young she-cat laid on her side, not really paying attention to her surroundings, the only thing she cared about staring at were the few homes in front of her. They had small farms and barns just a few feet away from the tiny building those twolegs called home. There were a few cats that she seen wandering to and from the building. They didn't seem to notice or care that she was laying there in plain sight. The she-cat closed her eyes, taking the sun into her fur, it was so warm outside. She loved being under the sun when it was noon. There was a scent and she opened her eyes to see small twolegs coming towards her. They weren't very tall, compared to most of those twolegs, but they were still just as scary. The twolegs were screaming, "Kitty, kitty." As they made their way towards her. Not interested in being close to any twolegs no matter the size they might be, the she-cat stood up and ran back into the forest, jumping into a tree to hide from the young twolegs who had surprisingly ran in after her. A few minutes later the twolegs returned back home, they appeared to be sad, Cali didn't care she wasn't somebody's pet. When she was sure they were gone she jumped from the tree.

Nemesis very rarely took strolls around the Twoleg Place. She only came around on the rare occasions when all four Clans had patrols going and it was unwise to be anywhere else; she'd rather be spying on kittypets than having to deal with clan cats. She could sense something strange in the air - like something was about to happen. Some would call her paranoid, although she would just call it being careful. The she-cat padded, almost silently, through the underbrush. One of the things she was good at was being quiet and sneaky. There were other cats around. That didn't escape the bright cat's nose. She she-cat could smell them, and could tell the difference between a kittypet and a loner, simply by the smell. She had observed that the kittypets tend to smell sweeter and more unnatural. Then there was the noise. This however was the noise of twolegs, the small ones, being loud and obnoxious as always. The noise sent her ears flat back against her head, and she hissed under her breath. Although they weren't in sight, she could tell in which direction they were headed, screaming as they went. When the sound of the young twolegs died out, Nemesis came out of the crouched position she had entered when she first heard them, and let her curiosity lead her in the direction in which they headed - following something, it seemed. Padding in just in time to see a cat, as white as herself, jump from a tree. "Sister! How...pleasant." Nemesis tilted her head slightly, smirking a fanged grin.

Cali hadn't smelled her sister, not even when she landed on all fours from the tree. The noise of somebody greeting her scared her half to death because she hadn't expected company. "Nemesis!" She greeted back after she had calmed down from being scared, all of her fur had been sticking out and by the time she had called her sister's name it was flat again. "How are you?" She asked finally before sitting down on the ground. She might have thought of laying on the ground if her mind wasn't thinking about those twoleg brats coming back out to try and take her back to their home. She took in a long breath before smiling at her sister, it had been some time since the last time she had seen her. She wasn't all that sure what to say, so much had happened, nothing all that interesting or important on her part, but she was sure that Nemesis had some interesting things to say about her adventures away from the rest of them. Cali suddenly got an itch behind her ear and she lifted up her hind leg and started stretching it hard. Darn these flees! She thought to herself as she continued stretching like crazy before finally getting rid of most of the itch and setting her hind leg back on the ground. Cali was like Nemesis is almost all ways, except for the eyes, she had all blue and Nemesis had a blue and yellow eye.

Nemesis kept her face as neutral as she could when she sensed her sister’s fear. The risen fur was a dead giveaway. “Cali…” She greeted, nodding her head a bit in acknowledgement. “I’m…fine. I see you’re still jumpy as ever.” She answered while pointing something out. She sat back and let her tail wrap around her delicate paws. She hadn’t seen her sister in quite a while, and here she was. It didn’t skip her mind to make a mental note about the fact that she found Cali in the Twoleg Place…a place she prided herself in rarely going, but yet her sister looked almost comfortable here. Nemesis could feel her ears flatten back on her head. What was her sister doing here? She surely couldn’t be interested in the kittypets any more than she could. Nemesis let her eyes gaze over Cali, then she turned her attention in the direction in which the small twolegs had disappeared back to. “You willingly spend time in the twoleg area?” She asked, trying, but failing, to keep the disgust out of her voice.

Cali felt much better knowing the voice had come from her sister, though she really needed to stop doing that. "Yes... yes I am." She laughed at herself, refusing to allow Nemesis comment to bother her. It was true though, it didn't matter who it was, even her own sister could scare her if Cali didn't notice her around the area. Her sister sat back and wrapped her tail around her paws. Cali looked down at the ground for a few seconds before looking up at her sister again. Something was on her sister's mind, it couldn't be good. After she finished stretching her ear with her hind leg she laid on her stomach, her tail at her side. She watched Nemesis' ears flatten back and she felt the urge to ask her sister what was wrong, but stayed silent instead. Her sister looked in the direction the forest ended and the twolegs had homes out there, she had followed with her eyes before looking back at Nemesis who had spoken up finally. The uneasiness had come back to her and she thought hard on the answer she would chose to say to her sister. "I suppose." She answered simply, not really thinking on her answer. It seemed her sister might have been disgusted for her being out here. "Something on your mind Nemesis?" She asked finally, wanting Nemesis to spill her dark secrets that lurked inside of her mind. Cali shifted back onto her feet, so that she was in a sitting position as she watched her sister, waiting for her to speak.

Nemesis couldn’t help but be slightly angry; it was the most natural emotion for her. “Why do you spend your time here, of all places?” She asked, keeping her anger as masked as she could for the sake of Cali. The white cat was her sister, after all, even if Nemesis rarely had anything to do with her. Her sister lay on the ground comfortably. Nemesis wouldn’t let her guard down so much as to lay on the ground. Even in a relatively safe place like twolegplace, it wasn’t going to happen. After all, those little twolegs could come by again. Or a hostile kittypet, although she had yet to see such a thing. Nemesis had been wondering what Cali and the others had been up to since her departure, but she had no intention of actually finding out. It was by coincidence she had found her sister. “Surely there are more…exciting…things to do with your time?” She asked, wanting to know what she had been up to. Although she knew her sister well enough to know she probably hadn’t done much – or at least as much as herself. “Cali…you don’t hang out here because you like the kittypets, do you?” She asked Cali, a slight hiss in her voice. Nemesis stood up from her sitting position, stepping closer to the other cat.
