Blackjaw - Bound to be gentle, if its anything but...~
Tense energy drifted off of him in waves as he roamed the edge of there territory. He could feel its pull, the static in the air, the suffocating less oxygen rich wind, a storm was brewing and a good one by the looks of the clouds moving in. Blackjaw was no friend to storms, not that he was afraid of them, or would ever admit to it, but he hated them with a passion. If a warrior were ever to admit to something as trivial as being afraid of a little flashing light, then this Thunderclan warrior would have run around proclaiming it since his birth. It was something that he was not proud of to say the least, his fear of the natural order of things like the weather. It was downright embarrassing, and he was sure that if he stayed in camp during such things, that the others would clearly be able to detect his fear. Add to it that he was from Thunderclan, a clan in which the name sake was a remembrance of the fierceness of a Storm. As it was he was moving rather quickly, his toes barely lingering on the ground for long, his breathing rushed and scared. His fur was puffed out, and his tail spiky and curled around his leg. His black and white body was shivering violently in fear, and his pupils were dilated. Normally, he would have left and went straight to a hiding place, as it was this time he had not seen the storms approach and had been on a patrol near Windclan's border. He cursed his luck, he didn't wish to be near there, and wanted to claw his deputy's ears clean off for giving him the duty. Blackjaw was told that those involved were to be meeting him out in the territory. Briefly he gave thought as to whom would be joining him, but at another crack of thunder, he realized he didn't care so much. Scenting the air in his mad dash to skim the borders, he caught a scent that was neither anticipated nor invited. Shadowclan was on there territory now, of all times, and he was pissed. He was hoping he could simply sprint through the duty and return closer to the camp, but no those irritating crow food eatters had to mess things up. Well he would certainly look fearsome in this state, and as he thought about it lightening started lighting up the sky, and rain began plummeting to the ground. Another roar from the storm, if one payed attention they might smell his fear and see it on his features, him not noticing the way he bared his teeth, nor unsheathed his claws. It was going to storm soon. The air was so thick you could claw it apart, the occasional drop fell, and the whole forest was charged with electricity. Flowerfur never quite felt so alive as she did during a storm. It was like StarClan itself was granting energy to all of the warriors, especially ThunderClan. The trees' leaves were waving wildly in the storm, and Flowerfur patrolled the border along RiverClan with youthful joy and energy in each step. Her fur was fluffed up even more with static, and she looked bigger and stronger than she actually was. The warrioress was truly a sight to behold.
Her good mood was broken, however, when an unpleasant smell hit her nostrils. ShadowClan cats. Too close to be on their side of the border, too. She raced towards the scent, the bottom falling out of the clouds as a downpour began. Another cat was heading towards the cats as well, and a bolt of electricity lit up the sky as the two ThunderClan warriors stood their ground. She could smell fear wafting off of her fellow Clanmate, but assumed that it was the ShadowClan cats he was afraid of.
Flowerfur was angry that ShadowClan cats were trespassing, but simply launching into an attack wouldn't do at all. Perhaps they needed to speak to Rushingstar, or ShadowClan was in grave danger. "For what reason have you crossed our border?" Flowerfur asked, her voice authoritative and sure as the rain fell. "Speak!"

Actions//Thoughts//Speaking
She couldn't believe in such a small trip how filthy her paws had gotten. It seemed like she just spend a whole day cleaning the mud from between her toes and she even tried to avoid all the mud! It was if she just had no way around getting dirty. Shadowclan was naturally more wet then any of the other clans but with all the rain lately it just got worse. It wasn't as if the place was a mud pit. No. The ground was just very wet and when a cat ran through it the mud ended up all over them.
Ivymask hated the mud and the rain even more. Her whole family was hurt by the rain, or well what it caused. A giant flood which wiped out half of their home. They had spend all their time rebuilding. Half of the cats having little-to-no prey each day. Everyone was hurt by the fact that their home was crushed. There was no relaxing, it was either: go hunting or work on building. Ivymask had been working no stop, with little sleep and little food. Yet she still managed to keep herself going. She put her heart and soul into her clan, even if they didn't see it in her attitude.
At the moment she was off to go hunting. Trotting though the forest and getting even more mud on her body. Which she'd take care of later. It hid her scent and in the long run would help her in hunting. She needed all the prey she could get. Ivymask figured that the small creatures wouldn't be pleased with the wet land and would rather something dry. So she headed towards Thunderclan territory. Along the border that split the two clans.
She slowed as she neared the border and let her jaw drop open. Tasting the air for any critters. Thunderclan filled her mouth, as if a cat was near by. She ignored it, she was on her own land anyways. As long as they stayed on their but they didn't have a reason to cross over. She concentrated more on the scents that filled her mouth. Mud.. trees.. the lingering storm.. ahh a mouse. She turned toward the smell and her eyes fell upon a small brown mouse just on her side of the border. She snuck along and as she neared the mouse ran and jumped.. and slid. She slid right down a small hill and tumbled into Thunderclan territory. "Mouse-dung" She cussed and got to her paw. Checking herself over she realized her front left paw was slightly twisted. Nothing she couldn't get back onto her territory. As long as no Thunderclan cats were near.
"For what reason have you crossed our border?" A voice came from no where. Ivymask jumped to her paws. These cats would probably know who she was. She quickly decided to play into their game and raised her 'hurt' paw a few mouse lengths off the ground. "Speak!" The voice demanded. Ivymask turned toward where the voice was coming from, with a well practiced limp of her paw. Just in case the cat could see her, even if she couldn't see the voice's owner. She was really hoping for a cat she knew, she wasn't looking for trouble. She really wasn't. Even if her personality would prove her other wise. "It's not polite to speak while hidden. Why don't you show yourself and we can talk like grown warriors. Unless you want to act like a rude apprentice. She smiled softly in the direct of the voice.

The ShadowClan cat-- No, deputy, Flowerfur thought to herself, raised her paw immediately, though her claws were unsheathed. The deputy limped, but Flowerfur knew that she wasn't that hurt, or else her face would be contorted in pain. "It's not polite to speak while hidden. Why don't you show yourself and we can talk like grown warriors. Unless you want to act like a rude apprentice," she heard Ivymask say.
Ouch. Flowerfur looked around for a moment, at her clanmate and the ShadowClan deputy. It was raining hard, but it wasn't raining that hard. Flowerfur sighed and shook her head. "Were you blinded by something, Ivymask? Last gathering, your eyes seemed perfectly fine. You still haven't answered my question, by the way," Flowerfur spoke politely, yet slightly angry. She was not an apprentice. Not by a long shot. "Or are you now dull as well?" Flowerfur smirked. You want to be petty and mean, Ivymask? I spend all my time around kits. I was born in pettiness and cruelty.
((Quick question; why can't Ivymask see either Flowerfur or Blackjaw?))

Blackjaw - Bound to be gentle, if its anything but...~
Rain was falling evenly now, and mud was reforming. He noted oddly that this close to the shadowclan border that the mud was exceptionally thin and slick, almost as if the ground was throughly water logged before the rains even fell. That he found to be odd indeed since the last rain storm was a few nights ago, and the ground no matter how good at retaining water, would have had to been dried from it by now. If his fur stuck up any straighter, he was sure it would all launch from his body. He knew without a doubt that a fairly strong storm was brewing, and he didn't like that they had this confliction right now with Shadowclan. Those pesky snakes were keeping him from avoiding his fears, and that was not ok right now. He was in front of a she cat of his clan, and would not appear weak in front of her. Though it was pesky, he was still in his heart a show off and tactically quite efficient. He was worried however when the intruder turned out to be the deputy of Shadowclan Ivymask. That was one peg short of the worst scenario he could land in at the moment, the worst being Furystar herself. Ivymask was a efficient and deadly warrioress, he was worried that she had crossed there borders. Was this an invasion or spying mission? If so she was a strong statement for shadowclan to send. Thunderclan hadn't been at the gathering, they had been preoccupied with two slobbering dogs entering and attacking Thunderclan at its heart. Blackjaw had nearly walked right in on them. He helped rid them from the camp, but knew that the consequences for them missing the gathering would be dire. He didn't think that shadowclan would take advantage this quickly. Then again they were known for this sort of thing, so he guessed that it was only natural to see them like this. Still he was pissed, and wasn't going to let her out of there home without a good clawing if she meant harm to Thunderclan. Strutting out to meet her, since it was part of his land, he didn't care if she saw him on it. They tabby warrior, was covered in mud, to which he had to surpress a laugh. She looked histerical, not that he needed to show his histerics from her appearance, but it was hard not to. Maybe this was a ploy to hide herself in the territory better. " Why are you here Ivymask! Thunderclan protects its borders, and if your wondering at how well, we will be gald to demonstrate." He stared at her hard, all humor forgotten. Raggedtooth - Just what did I stumble upon...~
The dark tabby scoured the land on there side of the border. He had trained with his apprentice earlier, and was now out on a patrol of his own. Ivymask had been leading it, and he was getting irritated that so far it hadn't gotten anything, no prey at all. Training for battle was one thing, no matter how badly the clan was flooded out they could still learn to fight. The remaining prey were resilient and hard to flush out of there homes. Ironically it was just as Shadowclan seemed to be these past few days. He was searching for her again now, to ask if they should extend the parameters of there hunt. They were unlikely to find anything where they were hunting for another day or two. At least he hoped that it would only be another day or two. Scowling, he looked down into Thunderclan land, and saw her there amongst the mud. It was obvious she had slid across the border. Besides he knew it wasn't on purpose, he supposed Furystar might have to move up her time table on her plans if Thunderclan was instigated now into a fight. Still he hated it when the black and white tom and another warrior started to walk closer to her. He knew his deputy was a fit warrior capable of taking care of herself, but it wouldn't do to let them think Shadowclanners stood alone. Letting a rumbling growl vibrate in his throat, he stalked across the border, his eyes reading hatred and aggression, though he didn't attack. " Ivymask having trouble with these two pests?"

Actions//Thoughts//Speaking
Two Thunderclan warriors appeared before her from the forest. The first was a tabby she-cat about the size of Ivymask. Of course Ivymask's first instinct was to size up the cat. She was built like a Thunderclan cat, which Ivymask has dealt with before. It wasn't as if she was going to fight the cats, but hey why not get to know them while she was in the position too. The she-cat would be a fun fight and she also had a venom lip like Ivymask. The two she-cat were alike but Ivymask knew in the long run she would come out on top. While the tom was a whole different story then the she-cat. While she was bold and strait-forward, he tried to act that way. Even though the rain, Ivy could see his hair standing strait up and sense the fear that radiated off of him. She wasn't sure if he was afraid of her or if he had just seen a cat from starclan. Though either way she could take him in a heartbeat. He was too distracted by his fear. After all fear is just a thought about the future. If you don't think about your future you won't have any fear. Ivymask was pretty sure if a fight were to happen she would have pretty good odds.
Ivy wasn't one to remember names. These two cats had no importance to her, so of course she didn't know their names. She knew of leaders, deputies and medicine cats. Maybe a few others and those she made friends with and well of course her own clanmates. It was of course the she-cat who spoke up first. "Were you blinded by something, Ivymask? Last gathering, your eyes seemed perfectly fine. You still haven't answered my question, by the way, Or are you now dull as well?" Ivymask smiled at the she-cat. Of course she ignored the part about why she was here and skipped to the smart comebacks. She looked up at the sky and squinted, as if the sun was in her eyes. Even though the sky was black with storm clouds. "Yeah, I think the sun is in my eyes.. would you mind moving over there a bit. I could probably see you better." She grinned and looked back to there the she-cat was standing. Flicking her tail in a random direction as if the she-cat should go there.
Of course the tom had to then put his two cents in. Not that it mattered much, Ivymask wasn't going to act thrilled that he stood up to be a 'big bad warrior'. She rolled her eyes over to him as he spoke, as if she really could care less about what he was saying. Which, in fact, she really could care less. "Why are you here Ivymask! Thunderclan protects its borders, and if your wondering at how well, we will be gald to demonstrate." Ivymask sighed. Yep, big bad Thunderclan warrior. "Oh calm yourself, I'm not here to take over. Plus I don't want any of your stinky smell on me. Oh wait.." She sniffed the air and smelled herself. "I already do.. ugg.. gross." Her lips turned into an evil grin as she looked to the tom. She loved this kind of stuff, this is what made her day.
Ivymask had been hunting with a group of warriors when she slid into these two. She had almost forgotten about the hunting until she heard a rustle behind her. The smell of Shadowclan cat filling her nose. Of course they came looking for her. Prey was hard to find and they had probably given up in the area. Wanting to go elsewhere and came to her for permission. Her ears twisted backwards to listen for the sound of the footsteps. She was really hoping a warrior fell upon her and not some mouse-brained apprentice who'd really get her into trouble. She didn't need to baby-sit. Also, she wasn't about to turn around and look to see who it was. No that would be stupid, turning her back on the enemy. Rather she'd just wait and see who it was. It wasn't long until the cat realized it was her. "Ivymask having trouble with these two pests?" A tom's voice called down to her. "Nah, I'm good Raggedtooth but hey if you want to join the party you are more then welcomed. It's really fun messing with Thunderclan cats. They get fluffed up so easily. She laughed and shot a smile to each of the cats in front of her. Of course her words would only make them more angry.

A shiver racked the tall, skinny body of the wet she-cat as the rain continued to pour down. Thunder rumbled through the air, as lightning shot across the sky. She let out a sigh, keeping her head low as she trudged through the mud. It seemed as though Shadowclan would live in the mud for the rest of time. They had yet to be relieved of the mushy brown goop that arrived with the wet weather. With the recent flood, which wiped out most of their camp, the ground in Shadowclan's territory had become soft and puddles covered a lot of the surrounding area. Many, although reluctant to admit, had prayed to Starclan for some release. Plenty of cats were lost in the flood, many more became ill. It seemed unfair to have this kind of luck when other clans were thriving.
Lilystem just hoped that someday soon there would be something positive for her clan to celebrate about. Troubling times were keeping everyone down, even the normally perky and cheery Lilystem had been noticeably effected. Try as she might, the clan easily grew frustrated with her happy, positive attitude. It wasn't hard to figure out why either. The she-cat knew after a few days of putting on her little act, it wasn't worth it. Everyone was miserable for good reasons. Another sigh escaped the tabby mix, she was coming up empty-pawed for this hunting expedition. She didn't understand why they were sent out in the first place. It was obvious that the prey would be in hiding, protecting themselves from the storm. When Furystar ordered the patrol, Lilystem was frustrated, but she knew her place and wasn't going to argue.
Becoming tired of finding nothing around, Lilystem turned to ask Raggedtooth if they should try another area of the territory. She only caught a glimpse of his tail as he disappeared down what seemed like a small hill. The she-cat shook her pelt out, trying to lose some of the excess water dripping from her fur before trotting after him. Her mind was too preoccupied for her to realize how muddy the top of the hill actually was. She stopped at the top and saw both Raggedtooth and her deputy, Ivymask, at the bottom. It looked like there were a few Thunderclan warriors there as well.
For the first time, Lilystem realized how close they were to the border. And then she realized that both Ivymask and Raggedtooth had crossed that line. Dread replaced her frustration. Even if her clanmates had crossed the border, it her was her duty to protect them. She didn't want confrontation, but she knew there was bound to be one. Besides, the she-cat figured there was a really good explanation for the scene laid out before her. Without looking down at her paws, Lilystem took a step down the hill. With the mud however, her paw slipped and the rest of her followed. Her body slid down the hill, covering her fur and surrounding her as she made her way down to the rest of the cats.
A wave of mud splattered around as she tried desperately to stop from barreling into someone. Her claws tried to dig into the ground, but found little grasp as the mud seeped through her toes. There was a moment when they caught onto some grass and her momentum finally died down as she ended up next to her clanmates, a little shaken up. She tried not to let it show, placing a small, embarrassed smile on her face. That was her, Lilystem, happy clown of Shadowclan. She internally rolled her eyes at herself, letting out a soft puff of air.

Quiet solitude, a peaceful experience, something that this tom cat was craving at this point. That was not to be it seemed, as Fadedstorm rose from the bed of water and shook out his pelt. He had thought that it would be nice to help out the medicine cats in Thunderclan. Give them an able bodied paw to help with some small chores. You know do some good, and maybe act as a nice role model for the apprentices to show them how important such tasks were. Nope instead he had ended up belly deep in a pool of water, and had a huge lily pad laying on his head, its pink flower fully opened and making him appear rather funny. He had been looking for coltsfoot, and was distracted and hadn't seen the slight dip into the ground near the pool, big mistake. Fadedstorm was glad that it hadn't been a patrol, he would have looked ridiculous for sure.
Standing tall once more, he vigorously shook out his thick once puffy pelt. It now had him looking spiky and prickly instead as the access water remained, and would stay until he dried off completly. He was grumbling to himself, and starting to take an interest in looking out for that herb, when he heard the voices of others. Two of which he recognized, Blackjaw and Flowerfur, others from the clan. He was concerned about the other voices, after all they were near the border, perhaps something had happened. Fadedstorm was a rather impressive form of a warrior, built in all the right places, and the set of his skull made him look pensive, or mad in general most of the time. It made his mood hard to read without an accompanying facial expression.
Rolling his eyes at the thought of just those two handling things, he wondered if he should get involved. His task was more of a favor then a mission, so he could always pick up the herbs later, the leaves were too delicate to carry around for longer then needed and it wasn't somthing he wanted to have to keep an eye on for longer then nessecary. Giving his tail one more through shake, he marched through the bushes, and stopped once he recognized the others on the border, or over the border for that matter, Raggedtooth, Lilystem, and Ivymask. Three shadowclanners, and one being the deputy, not exactly what he had been hoping to find. In actuality he had hoped that it was just Blackjaw trying and failing to sweet talk another warrioress or something of that sense. He heard the remarks from both groups, and scowled, this was not the way to handle things. It seemed lilystem was content for the moment, but the others wanted a fight, well Ivymask was more or less just trying to get a rise out of them. " Leave it to a shadowclanner to have to insult there betters with words rather then proof. If you do not wish for a fight and come here bearing no ill will, then you should be able to find your way back over the border... or should someone fetch Rushingstar? Wouldn't want to be the cause of a war would you Ivymask." He walked over closer and looked just at her. " It would be a shame to see your quick wit be the cost of war." Looking at Raggedtooth, he wanted to growl and forced himself to remain calm. This tom was no friend of his, he had fought him before, and would do so again if he wanted a battle. Lilystem he sort of felt bad for being there. He had talked to her during gatherings before, and she seemed nice enough. This was annoying, but he didn't want to have to start something if it could be avoided.

Flowerfur's tail flicked, her eyes showing the slightest signs of irritation. "Fadedstorm, nothing's happening. There is no need to start a fight over literally nothing," the warrioress turned away from her Clanmate over to Ivymask.
"I apologize for his behavior. Look. Clan rule dictates that I have to ask if you need any help. Even if you did just 'fall' down that hill, you're all a good cat-length within ThunderClan territory. My guess is that you saw prey, might have been on your border, might have been on ours, doesn't matter, and you missed the pounce. I can clearly see that your paw is twisted. I can go get some basic medical herbs from camp, but you guys actually have a medicine cat, so I could probably just push you up the cliff and we can all be on our way.
"It's pouring rain, and I don't think any cat really wants to be here right now, except maybe that cat up there," Flowerfur said, pointing her tail towards Raggedtooth. "I guess you'd know about pests, huh? Anyway. We're all acting like kits, but we can still get away scot-free. But if you want a fight, Ivymask, you've got one. You're the deputy here. You wanna fight, or do you want to leave?"
Flowerfur was annoyed with Ivymask, Raggedtooth, and Fadedstorm, but she didn't want a fight to happen in the middle of the pouring rain on muddy terrain. Flowerfur enjoys petty word-battles, but there was no need for tooth and claw.
But if Ivymask wanted a fight, Flowerfur would give it to her. All she had to do was ask.

Blackjaw - Bound to be gentle, if its anything but...~
This was getting less amusing by the second, and Blackjaw knew that no good would come of this. Ivymask was just toying with them, and her lack of concern for there ability as warriors was demeaning and very off base. While he wasn't so bold as to say he was a great warrior, Blackjaw knew that he was fit enough to handle himself against those before him. Surely Ivymask would trouble him some, and Raggedtooth had a reputation for his battle skill, but they grew up from kits as he had and Ivymask at least was a warrior before gaining a title. The black and white tom cat knew that it had gone to her head, what with the mocking she was doing. If she was so great then she would let her claws show them. Better yet if she was so great then she could avoid the conflict in all its forms and get off the land she was not supposed to be on in the first place regardless of the reason she was there. The weather was not helping things, though he could say that it was almost suitable for the threat of the battle to distract him from the possibility that lightening could at any moment strike through the sky. He wasn't afraid to admit his hesitancy to get caught up in a storm. Surely Shadowclan knew how dangerous storm and the floods they brought about during this time were dangerous. Maybe they would just leave after all. Blackjaw watched Ivymask, this really all depended on them of course, Thunderclan was on its land, so it was there call how this all played out. Raggedtooth - Just what did I stumble upon...~
The arrival of Fadedstorm was unexpected to say the least, but not an unwelcome obstacle. He had bested the burly tom cat before in battle, and would be able to do so again easily enough. Ivymask was laughing about things, he wondered if it was because she had been told to lead the attack before Furystar got there with the rest of the clan. He was going to volunteer to lead the first patrol and stir things up as a distraction, but he had been willing to play second paw to it all. Lilystem was also with them, and though she was a gentler she cat he knew that she would agree that Shadowclan was desperate enough to need to resort to these kinds of tactics. It did bother him that some were forced to fight, in reality they all were, as they needed food and a place to stay. To ask for such things from Thunderclan would be ridiculous given there history with one another. Growling low again, once he got the ok from Ivymask, which in general he hadn't really been waiting for. The attack was inevitable, it just needed instigation, something with which to light the flames. Looking at Flowerfur, he figured the deputy would want to shut her up herself, so he decided not to engage her unless she attacked him first. Unsheathing his claws he launched into the air, and jumped for Fadedstorm hoping to land on his back and dish out some damage to his body and pride. The Thunderclan tom would put up a fight he was sure, but he was confident he could best him.
