Dawnflower laid in the warrior's den just thinking to herself. So much had happened since she had become a warrior. She felt like she had lost everything she had once loved, her mother was gone, her father betrayed Shadowclan and was now dead, the queen she once knew as Dawnstripe had left Shadowclan with her son. Lilystem wouldn't talk with her because she had lost so much. Dawnflower lost her mate during the flood and doesn't know where he has gone. Her kits are finally six moons old making them of apprentice age. Now she could go out and possibly find out what had happened to Dawnstripe and maybe just maybe bring the she-cat and her son back home, to Shadowclan. Dawnflower shifted in her nest and let out a long sigh, she couldn't fall asleep, not now, not with so much on her mind. It was dark outside, no later than midnight or so. She stood from her nest and stretched. It doesn't look like I'm going to be getting any sleep right now, I might as well find something else to do. She let out a yawn and carefully past her clan mates who laid in their nests asleep, making her way towards the entrance to the warrior's den and taking her steps outside. The night air was warm, something she hadn't felt in some time because of the season changes. She looked towards the Fresh Prey pile to see how much was left before she turned her head outside of camp. I guess I'm going hunting, hopefully I'll also be able to clear my head. She bolted from Shadowclan camp, standing still in Shadowclan territory. Where do I go from here? She pondered to herself before she darted in the direction by Dead Tree Clearning, named for it's appearance.
It was the border between Shadowclan and Thunderclan. She would never go passed it unless she seen a Thunderclanner stealing prey from Shadowclan camp, she might even give chase if they just took their steps onto Shadowclan territory. She looked left and right to see if she could smell any prey with her nose as her eyes searched. She couldn't find anything however. Normally this is the best place for hunting.... Where is everything? She thought in her mind as she sat down on the ground with a frown on her face.

Mudtail
A cool breeze swept though the trees, disturbing little in its passage, but embracing many things in its gait. The lithe wite and brown tom cat Mudtail was one such thing in its gentle yet chilling path. In the moment of contact, his body broke out in goose bumps, and a shiver went down his spine. He out of reflex shook out his frame, yet his fur stood on end, lifting slightly with the breeze and from his chill from it. The wind's trail was innocent enough, and easy flowing, not lifting so much as a leaf as it traveled. It was enough to utterly ruin the tom's chances of sinking his claws into the plump vole a mere tail and a half away from his crouching form hidden in the grass. The swaying of the grass you see, had moved a blade near his nose, and it tickled it causing him to let out a booming sneeze, destroying the serenity needed to hunt successfully in an instant.
Crunching up his face in and wriggling his nose, he snorted trying to relieve the irritating after feeling once his sneeze had passed. Sniffing lightly, he huffed as the critter was no longer there, and had obviously darted away. Well not like dumb prey to even miss that chance to escape... just bad luck. I'll have to move closer to the border now. Shrugging his shoulders, and cracking a closed mouthed grin in good humor, he casually walked along twitching the tip of his tail held high in a good natured fashion. There in truth was little that could get on the bad side of Mudtail, and he was usually not the type to shoulder a bad attitude over something like bad luck. Everyone sneezed afterall, and he had always heard it was a terrible idea to hold such things in.
Making his way closer, he opened his jaw and smiled as he caught the scent of a Dawnflower, a she cat in Shadowclan. She always seemed approachable, and was close to the lovely Lilystem. Determined to poke his nose into things, well at least things that lead to other things of interest, like lilystem, he took off towards Dawnflower happy no less to see her, but hoping that Lilystem would be nearby. Those two had a history, and he was curious enough to care to find out, though he was hardly a pesky tom cat, and would keep to himself until he stumbled upon it, or unless told otherwise. Walking into the same area she was in, he watched her look around. Guessing she was hunting, and from the look of things having as much luck as he had been having, he decided to speak up. He couldn't scent any prey here anyway. " Couldn't sleep? Or were you hoping to find something to eat and couldn't wait for the patrol to return?" He was smiling to show he was being humorous. He noted how close to the border they were, and wondered if Thunderclan would cause any trouble. They were absent at the last gathering, and who knew what they were up to.

Dawnflower hadn't noticed another clan mate in the area. It must have been because she was upwind and he was downwind, making him be able to smell her. She hadn't heard the sneeze either because of the distance they had between them. She was to distracted at the thought of not finding any prey that she hadn't noticed the tom coming straight for her. She looked over at the voice to see Mudtail coming straight for her, she smiled after seeing him smiling himself. "Both I suppose." She answered him still having the smile on her face. "How about you Mudtail?" She questioned, cocking her head to the side as she watched the tom. She looked towards the border to see if anybody else was going to show up that she might have missed since Mudtail had caught her by surprise. To her knowledge, Lilystem wasn't near her, she couldn't help, but wonder if Mudtail had come out to look for her. Lilystem and Dawnflower had history together, good and bad. Mostly bad for Lilystem's family, but also bad for Dawnflower as well. Her eyes looked over at Mudtail and she moved her tail in a sway before speaking up again. "You can sit down if you want." She offered to him, hoping that he didn't think her rude for not offering before.
I wonder if anybody from Thunderclan is going to show up. Half of her hoped they would, the other half hoped they wouldn't. As much as she wanted to be entertained by Thunderclan presents, Mudtail might not have wanted that, neither would her leader. She laid her head down on her paws and continued smiling over at Mudtail. Now what? I'm terrible at coming up with things to talk about. I should ask him if he came out here looking for somebody. She wasn't all that sure if he liked Lilystem or not, but surely he didn't care all that much about her. Nobody cared that much about her, she didn't even feel that Lilystem cared much about her. The she-cat let out a long yawn, tired, but unable to sleep. Maybe if I turn in now, I'll finally get to sleep... And leave Mudtail by himself? Now that would truly be rude. She was arguing with herself and by mistake, ignoring Mudtail, if he said anything she hadn't caught it. She hoped that he hadn't said anything to important, that would have embarrassed her for missing it. "Sooo..." She started, still trying to form the words that she wished to ask him. "Any favorites in the clan?" Why did I just ask him that? What a dumb question...
