AGE! Eighteen moons.
RANK! Warrior.
GENDER! Male.
CLAN! RiverClan
SHORT DESC.! Light cream tom with light grey-brown lynx-points and blue eyes.
FULL DESCRIPTION!
Windblaze has large, circular blue eyes that sit evenly on his light-colored face. The bridge of his nose is colored a light brown, with his nose itself being a pink color lined in black. His body color is cream, with grey-brown lynx points. Along his body, a very light reddish brown color stripes through the cream, circling to create a swirled pattern that is symmetrical on either side. His tail is a darker color, the stripes darkening to a very dark grey-brown at the tip.
PERSONALITY!
Determined , Windblaze has a hard time letting go of anything once he sets to mind to something. It is virtually impossible to get him to stop with whatever he's doing, especially if it's important to him personally. This determination can sometimes appear obsessive to others. However, it is important to note that this very quality is what makes Windblaze such a fine warrior. His determination has made him hard working and dedicated.
Slow , Truthfully, Windblaze isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. It isn't that he's necessarily stupid. It's simply that he requires a different way of teaching than most in order to learn anything. He tends to get confused when someone is speaking to him, though he won't voice his confusion aloud. Windblaze also has no common sense. However, although his mind is not conventional, this cat is oddly intuitive and can be quite empathetic.
Prideful , He will never admit he's wrong. He simply can't accept that he failed anything, and because of that, he has a hard time accepting his faults. Windblaze has a tendency to boast about his accomplishments, while completely ignoring anything he might have done wrong. This stems from a desire to prove himself, as well as a need to be noticed and acknowledged.
Arrogant , Along with being prideful, Windblaze is extremely cocky. While it's always good to be self-assured, Windblaze's arrogance can be over-bearing. There is always an air of confidence surrounding the cat; but not just simple confidence. It's an almost blatant "I'm better than you" attitude. Although it's quite annoying for many a cat, it is mostly a facade to hide how inferior he feels.
Competitive , Windblaze has to be number one. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. It's a nearly insane need for him to feel important, special. Even if the odds are stacked against him, Windblaze will always - always - try his damnedest to come out as the winner.
Kind , A heart of gold, this young feline has. He wants to help anyone in need, even if it means placing himself in peril. You could argue it's simply because he wants to be liked, but in all honesty, Windblaze just feels good when he helps others.
Eccentric , Quirky, upbeat, and a total individualist are what make Windblaze... Windblaze. He's quite odd, finding interest in things that others don't - for instance, he enjoys speaking with trees. He believes that talking to plants helps them grow and flourish, and Windblaze does love his greenery. He also believes that speaking with the plants and becoming their friend will help him hunt better, because his plant friends won't hide his prey.
HISTORY!
Windkit was named after his father, who had been a strong warrior in his time. Windkit was nearly the spitting image of his father. Unfortunately, Windstorm passed on just days after Windkit and his brother, Russetkit, had been born. Their mother, Honeydew, although grieving, took excellent care of her kits. She was patient with them, and understanding.
Windkit and Russetkit often competed against each other. Their personalities were monumentally different for the most part, but they each had a strong desire to prove to the other that he was better. Often, Russetkit would be victorious in these competitions.
When Windkit wasn't with Russetkit, he was sneaking out of camp to play, pretending to be a warrior. On one such adventure, he found himself meeting a ShadowClan kit, only a moon or two older than him. The ShadowClan kit was what Windkit had always imagined a ShadowClan cat to be like: He had black fur and a cold demeanor. At first, each kit was protective of their boundaries, but that seemed to dissipate when each noticed that the other should not have even been out. Windkit, intrigued, continued to talk to the ShadowClan kit, though he was often met with a glare or a cat-growl. If Windkit and Russetkit were different, these two might as well have been on separate planets.
However, an unlikely friendship was struck up between them, though it was entirely an accident. It just happened that they seemed to always meet up with one another at the edges of each kit's territory. Soon, they were meeting almost daily. When the ShadowClan kit received his 'paw' suffix, Windkit was both proud and jealous.
When Windkit and Russetkit reached six moons, Honeydew was, admittedly, relieved to see them off. Being a fine warrior herself, she had missed the days of patrols and hunting. Honeydew was concerned for Windkit, but, she reminded herself that it wasn't only looks that he took from Windstorm. Although Windstorm had been... quieter, the two shared a strong heart. So Honeydew looked on with a proud smile as each of her kits were given their 'paw' names. Naturally, Windpaw was eager to show off in front of his ShadowClan friend, who acted unimpressed - even though Windpaw could see the darker tom was happy for him.
Windpaw and Russetpaw continued their competitions into apprenticeship, while Windpaw continued his meetings with the ShadowClan cat. While Russetpaw was far calmer and quieter, he was often easily sucked into Windpaw's taunting and superior attitude.
Windpaw's ShadowClan friend became a warrior quite soon after his apprenticeship. While Windpaw was overjoyed and impressed, the black cat merely chalked it up to the fact that his whole family had always been skilled warriors. Russetpaw, too, moved on to becoming a warrior quite quickly, leaving Windpaw behind. Russetpaw became Russetfur.
Windpaw, however, remained an apprentice for some time after. Although he was determined, he didn't have any wonderful skills, and he was quite slow to learn. Windpaw's mentor soon figured out that his apprentice learned far better when he practiced, versus being spoken to or shown. While he wasn't a master at observation or listening, he did remember things well when he practiced them himself. Windpaw didn't tell others that his friend from another Clan had also been aiding him in his practice.
With lots of practice, Windpaw, too, received his warrior name: Windblaze. He became a warrior only two moons ago, and is quite eager to prove himself.
RP EXAMPLE!
The world was still so strange to the red fox. There were still so many questions that lingered on his mind, still so many things that were unknown to him. He'd, truthfully, only recently discovered that something awful had happened to the land before he was released here. The fox had been kept in a lab, in a stuffy room, completely alone and closed off from the world. The little interaction he received was what he spent his entire life waiting for. He was wasting away, silently looking forward to the times when foul-smelling pellets were given to him. Fawkes shook his head, gagging when he remembered the taste of those things.
He shook his head again to rid his mind of thoughts from the past. It was in the past for a reason, the young canine reminded himself. His tail was carelessly allowed to drag on the ground as he noisily padded through the woodland. Blue eyes gazed out, searching the trees for nothing in particular. The young male continued to pad along, his paws crunching leaves, his tail rustling the undergrowth. Smaller creatures scattered or stopped to watch in curiosity, but the fox paid them no mind.
Fawkes was thin, and admittedly, he was hungry. But he wasn't a hunter. Hunting was difficult; it required skills that the canine simply didn't have. Being kept locked away did that to an animal. He was used to food coming to him, even if it was always disgustingly tasteless. But Fawkes was also a determined, strong-willed, and sometimes obnoxiously optimistic canine. He had confidence that he'd make it through the winter on whatever little food he could catch and whatever he managed to scavenge. It was an arrogant and cocky thought, but then, Fawkes was arrogant and cocky.
He stopped moving when the scent of another reached him. Nose twitching, the fox stretched out his neck, trying to get a better idea of who - or what - was in the vicinity. It occurred to him then that he had previously been making quite a bit of noise, so it was likely that he'd been heard. Cautious now, Fawkes let his gaze sweep around, trying to find the other creature. Lifting his tail so it was no longer dragging along the ground, the fox crept forward, attempting to be silent. Though, like many things, stealth was not his forte.
