So technically I wasn't supposed to leave until next Monday, however my grand-aunt died and because of that the person who was supposed to drive with me can't. So instead someone else is coming with and we head out Wednesday morning. I will be working on replies on the road and will be able to post at night, but I might be too tired to get online. I should be back around that following Sunday.
For my cats, Flowers, you may go ahead and post with Minnowpaw in our thread and I'll throw Batflight in there as soon as I can.

..BATFLIGHT..
"Hey, this would probably be a bit easier if you actually taught me this stuff."
Well if you paid more attention to what I said, she thought, biting her tongue to keep the comment from slipping out. Batflight took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as she tried to push her own irritation down. The medicine cat knew she wasn't the easy cat to get along, but she did give Minnowpaw points for sticking it out. She was still getting the hang of this teaching gig and it wasn't easy. In the beginning, Batflight had not been thrilled by the idea of taking on an apprentice already - she wasn't that old - but the then Minnowkit persisted until she'd agreed.
She sighed, refusing to snap back and instead inspected the apprentice's work once more. It wasn't that bad looking. "You started out well, but your problem is in the weaving. It looks like you got too excited and made a mess of it," she finally replied, glancing at Minnowpaw.
Batflight heard the younger she-cat's comment. "You know that it's not set in stone. If you really wanted to...well no one would think badly of you if you changed your mind. This isn't the easiest path to follow," she said, her voice soft for just a moment before turning back to its normal tone. "Regardless, you will still be going out with the other apprentices to learn how to hunt and fight. It is good for you to have the skills."
notes; apologize for the shortness

Mothpaw && Turtlepaw Well for starters, they both are Riverclan apprentices, so there's bound to interaction because of that. She's nine moons older, but that's not really a huge leap in age difference. So, friends? Turtlepaw is essentially a superstitious prankster. He loves to have fun and would love to hang out with her.
Ivymask && Blackpaw Blackpaw's in need of a mentor. Would Ivymask like to teach my very quiet tom?

NAME! Cypressheart AGE! 50 moons. RANK!Deputy, if not then warrior GENDER! tom CLAN! Thunderclan SHORT DESC.! a burly golden brown tom with yellow eyes FULL DESCRIPTION!Cypress- his fur coloring reminded his mother of the bark of cypress tree
| The Build | On the spectrum of size, Cypressheart is slightly larger than average. He's built with broad shoulders and a well muscled body. He was made to fight, not hunt. He's stronger than most, an advantage that his size and muscle have given him. The tom was born with large paws and as a result, long claws as well.
| The Pelt | Owlfire appears bulky, but some the fault can be blamed on his pelt. His fur is long and a menace to have when wet. His mother taught him to always keep his pelt in order and he still values that lesson. Owlfire's fur is well taken care of, soft and feathery to the touch. His pelt is a rich brown with a lighter tanish color mixed in. Through the top of his coat his legs are darker tabby stripes.
| The Eyes | He has two beautiful golden yellow eyes. His eyes are very expressive, more so than the rest of his face. PERSONALITY!To his clan and loved ones, Cypressheart is completely dedicated to them. He would do whatever it took to protect them. This being said, Cypressheart has little tolerance for outsiders, whether they come from the other clans or a non-clan cat. He does not trust them and often thinks the worst of them. He'll chase intruders off the clan's territory without so much as a regret. If an outsider should join the clan, they should know that Cypressheart is watching their every move. He will keep an eye on them whenever he can until he is sure that they are not a threat.
The tom carries himself like he belongs and with this comes an air of authority. He's lived enough moons and has plenty experience to earn the respect of his younger clan mates. Cypressheart is quick to defend himself if insulted. He isn't one to talk things out, preferring to settle things by with his claws, but if he must, Cypressheart's tongue is a capable weapon.
At anytime Cypressheart can throw a witty comment about everything at you. He isn't that patient, and will voice his opinion when its wearing thin. His sense of humor is rather dry and most people don't understand him, mistaking his comments as rude. This doesn't bother him and if he should really hurt someone's feelings, Cypressheart will apologize. He just isn't the best at keeping his mouth shut. The tom acts like a grump all the time, but when with an apprentice or kits, well, he turns into a different cat. HISTORY!The story of his parents was not one of love. There were no crushes, no moonlit walks, or confessions of secret feelings. Goldenheart and Nightfur were nothing more than good friends. They were two warriors who had never found someone they wanted to be with and both desperately desired to be parents. Goldenheart would soon be a senior warrior and Nightfur was only six moons behind in age. Tired of waiting, they spent several moons discussing the idea and decided to do it together.
One early leaf-bare morning, Goldenheart gave birth to a tom and two she-cats. Cypresskit resembled his father while Falconkit favored her father. Ospreykit looked like her grandmother. The kits were as healthy as could be expected of kits born during the cold season. In their first moon, the young kits caught a mild case of white cough, Cypresskit and Ospreykit recovered, but Falconkit couldn't handle it and passed. The rest of their kithood was relatively normal. Their father spent every moment of his free time in the nursery. Cypresskit and his sister hung out in the elder's den and found ways to drive their mother crazy.
The day Cypresskit became an apprentice was the most exciting day in his young life. Cypresspaw was apprenticed to Ivyheart. Ivyheart's serious personality clashed with Cypresspaw's. Interesting would be the word to describe their relationship. His opinionated personality clashed with her more serious one. The two were often at odds and he did her best to keep them at it.
Cypresspaw's mouth would push the quiet she-cat to the edge. Cypresspaw disliked her, but he respected her. For their differences, Ivyheart taught well and Cypresspaw easily picked up what she threw at him. On his thirteenth moon, Cypresspaw and his sister passed the final assessment and received their warrior names. He was named Cypressheart for his tongue and his go-to attitude. His sister became Ospreyclaw.
Cypressheart was a hardworking warrior. He was content with life. He spent most of his time with his sister and his old mentor. His mother had passed away shortly after he became a warrior from an illness she'd been fighting for moons, and Ivyheart helped him through it. It is not uncommon for mentor and apprentice to fall for another and this is what happened to them. They fell in love, even if they were an odd couple. Ivyheart was too serious and Cypressheart was too sarcastic, but that didn't stop them.
Cypressheart was nineteen moons old when Ivyheart announced she was having kits. Both were overjoyed, but it wasn't meant to be. On the day she went into labor, something went wrong. Ivyheart died from infection and their two kits died days later. Wracked with grief, Ivyheart withdrew into himself, throwing up his walls with full force. He did not mourn publicly, but instead threw himself into hunting and patrols. Work was the only thing he felt he could do.
Three moons later, the leader gave Cypressheart his first apprentice to help him focus on. Nightpaw was a bratty little tom with a high opinion of himself. It was with much needed patience and a strict attitude that the warrior brought the younger tom down a notch. Seven moons after training, Nightpaw became a warrior. Cypressheart sat proudly as Nightstep joined him as a warrior.
Five moons later, he was assigned his second apprentice. He was thirty-five moons and had for the most part recovered from the deaths of his mate and kits. Stonepaw's mentor had been among several cats lost to a dog that had wandered into Thunderclan territory. The she-cat was half way through her apprenticeship, but was a slow learner. The pair spent six moons together taking each day one step at a time.
A few moons after the end of this apprenticeship, his sister moved into the nursery and Cypressheart started to spend time with the cat responsible, finally deeming the tom worthy of Ospreyclaw. His nieces arrived four moons after Stonepelt became a warrior. The tom was proud of both his apprentice and sister as she brought three kits into the world. He was forty-three moons and an uncle.
Cypressheart was a doting uncle and was as close to the kits as their parents. He would take them on "patrols" outside of camp and tell stories. The kits were in their fifth moon when the leader of Thunderclan died and replaced him. When Rushingstar became leader of Thunderclan, she chose Cypressheart as her deputy. They weren't close, but Cypressheart was a loyal warrior. Once named deputy, Cypressheart, although surprised took the new position proudly. It wasn't his own capabilities that took him by surprise, but the fact that he'd never shown a desire for leadership. It was fine reward for his hard work and dedication. He's been deputy for little over a moon and is still adjusting to his new title and power. He helps Rushingstar as much as he can. :.BATFLIGHT.:
Newleaf was upon the clans. Of the four seasons that the forest brought, newleaf and greenleaf were her two favorites, or at least they were the two she preferred. They were the best seasons for stocking up on herbs and usually the less busy of the seasons when it came to illness. And just like the usual newleaf, the cats coming in and out of her den were few. Besides the occasional cat with a thorn in their paw and the constant needs of the elders, the dark brown she-cat found herself with time to spare.
Spare time left her with more opportunities to train her apprentice. Oh, Minnowpaw. She was still surprised that the younger she-cat had stuck around this long. Minnowpaw had the heart of a warrior, and Batflight still suspected her apprentice yearned to be one. It was one of the reasons she would send her off to train with the other cats her age. The other being that Batflight could handle so much of Minnowpaw at once.
Batfliiiiight"
The she-cat finally turned around at hearing her name. Minnowpaw was trying and failing at making a nest. "Yes?" she asked, moving closer to inspect the apprentice's work. "Calm down. Getting upset over it just makes it worse," she snapped before pulling out several strands of grass that were part of the problem.

TURTLEPAW
He wasn't sure how long he'd been here, waiting on Hailstar to show up, but it felt like forever. Actually he was surprised that he'd beaten his new mentor. After all, he was the leader. Weren't they supposed to be on time? One thing Turtlepaw hadn't considered was how early he might be. In his excitement this morning, the young tom skipped breakfast and raced out of camp. A fact he was now regretting and the rumbling of his stomach proved it. The tabby tom shifted impatiently. Where was he? Should he go back to camp and wait there? Or maybe wait here just a little longer? A noise off to his left caught his attention. Ears pricked up, the apprentice glanced around feverishly. Was that him? Turtlepaw stood straight, trying to look ready. Minutes passed and no one emerged. False alarm. Turtlepaw sighed and returned to his normal slouch. He made his way over to the stream, staring at the constantly moving water. He glanced around once more before settling himself down. He wanted to fight, hunt, or just something. Normally he wasn't in such a hurry, but it was the newness of his apprenticeship that had the all hyped up. He itched to get started and if Hailstar wasn't going to show soon, well, he wouldn't push it. He could always go off exploring on his own or see if one of his older brothers wanted to teach him. There were loads of other options than just sitting around waiting.

NAME! Turtlepaw AGE! 6 moons RANK! Apprentice GENDER! Tom CLAN! Riverclan SHORT DESC.! a tabby tom with green eyes FULL DESCRIPTION!Turtlepaw is a lean tom with long legs. As far as size goes, Turtlepaw is on the larger side. He'll big when he finishes growing, but his size doesn't help his clumsiness. The stripes that all tabbies have are darkest on his face, legs, and tail, where his chin and belly are almost a light cream color. His eyes are a dark green, his nose brown, and his whiskers are unusually long. His fur is somewhere in between long and short. He has a fluffed appearance, particularly his tail.
PERSONALITY!Why so serious? Of his siblings, Turtlepaw is the prankster in the group. His ideas for pranks are brilliant, but often need fine tuning. Thankfully that's what his siblings are for. His pranks are harmless, but humiliating for the poor victim who stumbles into them. He's always getting himself into trouble and poking his nose into things where they don't belong. He doesn't always learn from his mistakes right away and more often than not Turtlepaw will stick his nose right back into what got him into trouble in the first place. He is clumsy and he is carefree. It isn't a surprise to find the big tom tripping over his paws or distracted by this or that.
No work and just play The young tom falls in the lazy spectrum and is more than happy to waste a day lazing in the sun or plotting his latest prank. Fun triumphs work, but once motivated enough, he'll make you proud. He's too curious for his own good which adds to his knack of landing in trouble. He's intelligent, although sometimes it's difficult for others to see due to the fact that Turtlepaw is mildly superstitious. He can find omens in everything and being a drama queen, will often come bursting into camp talking about how a certain clearing is haunted or some other similar nonsense.
Can't Tell Me Nothin If you have a secret, don't tell him. Gossip is second nature to him and any secret entrusted to him will find its way out into the open. This isn't a malicious action, but he doesn't seem to register the fact that he's blurted it out. He has to tell someone and usually its his siblings. He does have the luck of spilling secrets to the person who isn't supposed to know. HISTORY!MEET THE FAMILY: Parents Duckfeather -- mother -- Riverclan warrior Oakfur -- step-father -- Riverclan warrior Stoneheart -- biological father/uncle -- Riverclan warrior
First Litter --stormstrike-- older brother - Riverclan warrior --graywind -- older sister -- Riverclan warrior --rainfur -- older brother -- Riverclan warrior
Second litter ((turtlepaw's littermates)) --frogpaw -- sister -- Riverclan apprentice --otterpaw -- brother -- Riverclan apprentice --gullpaw --brother -- Riverclan apprentice
Turtlepaw's parents; Duckfeather and Oakfur were childhood friends and later in life the two fell in love. Shortly after becoming warriors, the two became mates and tried for kits. Oakfur, being a male tortoiseshell turned to be sterile. Duckfeather wanted kits and asked Stoneheart to father them, but not to be their father. Stoneheart was Oakfur's brother and he agreed to help the couple out. Soon enough Duckfeather found out that she was expecting her first litter of kits. She gave birth to three healthy kits. The kits were raised to believe that Oakfur was their father and that Stoneheart was their uncle. It was never questioned and when the kits reached six moons, they were apprenticed off and Duckfeather returned to her warrior duties. About four moons after leaving the nursery, she ended up having another litter.
Like with the first bunch, Stoneheart was the biological father and Oakfur raised them. Otterkit was the eldest, followed by Turtlekit, Frogkit, and Heronkit. The four kits were a tight group and as the only kits in the nursery, the kits found all sorts of trouble. Frogkit was the ringleader, but it was Turtlekit who came up with the ideas. Along with his litter mates, Turtlepaw has just become an apprentice and is eager to begin training.
