Apprentices will be given to any open warrior that does not have an apprentice. The only exception is if you and another member plan out who is the mentor ahead of time and lets me know about it. I will pm each cats owner to notify them of the mentoring.
- Mentors can be switched if the member becomes inactive.
- Inactive mentors will not hold a cat back from becoming a warrior
- All apprentices must go through an assessment before becoming a warrior.
- Apprentices are given to mentors at random.
- Apprentices need to complete at least one thread.
- If an apprentice becomes inactive, then that cat gets deleted and the mentor receives a new apprentice if there is one available.
- If a deputy position should open up ever after the first one has died, the next deputy must have mentored one apprentice or be mentoring one.
- To become a warrior, you buy the advancement in the site shop for each apprentice.

"How long?" I say, how long will you relive the things that are gone? Oh yeah, The devil's on your back but I know you can shake him off

For once it seemed that the chilling storms and blasts of wind had halted, and new leaf had the clan bustling. This would resemble a chance opportunity for the clan. Every patrol would be out rushing to replenish the freshkill pile. Mudtail was no exception usually, but he had been given a different task. He was to search all the boarders to make sure there were no invaders. Better weather often tempted the fool hardy and desperate to challenge those that even for a fleeting moment were more successful then themselves. Thoughts such as these could hardly dent the wise and free spirited mood of Mudtail. He was determined to enjoy himself even on an assignment such as this. Truthfully he didn`t mind defending the boarders. It was a noble task, but he also knew that the prey count was a more demanding matter. Still he couldn`t and wouldn`t complain.
His brown tail curved happily in the air as he walked along. His eyes were closed, while a broad smile played his brown muzzle. Mudtail hummed as he almost skipped along, his paws barely leaving prints in the dense snow. Only every so often would a slight breeze sway his albino fur with its currents. A light song danced in his head, but not being a fool he kept his ears alert for any danger. Still the song wouldn`t vanish from his thoughts. Stopping he discreetly opened each eye before closing it when he was satisfied that no one else was near. Then he broke out in a pleasant song filled with heart.
" Tis a happy fellow that walks through here, He treads lightly, though others should fear, Casting a glance before the falling shadows of his friends, He regales a tale of which they may contend, For he is strong and brave, and they are many and bold, They do not doubt the words of there ancestors, or so i'm told, To greet the day fairly and with open minds, Would also mean that we shed these twisted binds, A hero awaits those whom ask To ponder I will not my next task, Rewards are few, but fellowship is due, Oh those fiends should quake because they are truly few"
This he repeated several times, his voice booming to its meaning. His own code of conduct and beliefs were deeply woven in the song. Strutting peacefully he neared the border between shadowclan and thunderclan, and looked around. The others in his patrol had to be around somewhere, and he still had to circle back to the Windclan border. If he ended early, maybe even a hunt to end his venture.

Name: Mudtail Age: 48 moons Gender: Tom Clan: ShadowClan Desired Rank: Warrior Appearance: ~Eyes~
Mudtail has concerned, yet protective green eyes. They tell there own story. They shine when he is angered, yet he is adept at hiding it. Deep within the recesses of his eyes you can see concealed pain, but he never shows it to anyone. He portrays himself the way he wants to be seen, not the saddened elder brother, but the heroic tom waiting for another chance.
~Pelt~ Mudtail has a pure white coat with the exception of his tail. His tail is a dark chocolate looking brown. He also has a brown blotch over his left ear. His muzzle is also brown. His fur is medium in length. Not quite long enough to be considered long haired, yet its still looks bigger then short haired cats.
Personality: ~Humble~ No matter how big the accomplishment, he would never be the thick headed bragger. Mudtail loved glory like every other warrior, but he hated those that flaunted there abilities whether good or bad. To him you were asking for pay back by doing these things. His mother had raised him to value things in life, and he wasn`t about to willingly crush others, because he bested them.
~Protective~ Throughout his life he was bullied, but not in the way you might think. He made it his priority to protect his little sister no matter what. If any other cat hurt her he would give them heck. Not that he liked having to yell at his clan mates, but family to him was important.
~Gentle~ Mudtail was definatly one of the most submissive toms. He never caused trouble unless someone had hurt his family.
History: Born on a Stormy Summer night Mudatil was part of a litter of 3. His family consisted of his mother Nightwing, his father Sunsoul, and his siblings Owlkit, and Finchkit. His brother was a still born, but he and his sister Owlkit grew close and thrived. There kithood was spent with some other kits named Bonekit, and Juniperkit. They were born the night before them. They always ventured around the clan in groups. Bonekit prefered chasing around after Mudkit, and Owlkit was hearded around by Juniperkit. Mudkit was never too far away from his sister, and knew from his fathers lessons that he should protect her if he could, for as long as he could. Bonekit was always on the smaller side, so Mudtail grew accustomed to watching out for him as well. Mudkit seemed to be wiser then some kits, or he cared more for his families needs then his own. Bonekit was infatuated with Mudkits sister from an early age. Once they were all apprenticed Bonepaw tried to spend as much time as he could near her. His mentor soon took him into deeper studies of there warrior ways, and Bonepaw couldn`t see any of them as often.
Mudpaw was given Doveflight as a mentor. She was older and nearing eldar status. Mudpaw didn`t mind, and longed to hear her tails of the past, and of the battles and lessons she had endured throughout her life. Often they would sit and discuss old tricks that she had learned, and he learned many things from her. In battle training her age was just a number, because she was very quick and strong, and if she felt any soreness she never showed it.
It was around this time, when Juniperpaw took a liking to Mudpaw. He didn`t really pay it much attention, and it made him uneasy to have her acting so strange around him. Bonepaw didn't like him hanging around with his sister, and when Mudpaw tried to explain that he didn`t like her he was attacked by Bonepaw.
This deeply angered Mudpaw because he had always looked after Bonepaw, and he even disregarded the fact that Bonepaw liked his sister Owlpaw. They were a massive dustball rolling and hissing at eachother. Mudpaws father broke it up and scolded his son. Owlpaw was torn by there fighting and Mudpaw could tell. He wanted her to be happy, but he hated Bonepaw. Reluctantly he stayed away from them, and they grew closer. he just couldn`t bare seeing her unhappy. Mudpaw felt no attraction to poor Juniperpaw though, and when he tried to tell her she went off into the forest. Wavepaw another apprentice went after her. The patrols went out looking for them and found Wavepaw dead and Juniperpaw injured. They had been attacked by Thunderclan. A battle was launched and there mother and Juniperpaw were sent into battle. Mudpaw,Owlpaw, Bonepaw and Sunsoul were left to guard the camp.
The Thunderclanners had sent half of there best fighters to the camp. Sunsoul fought bravely beside his son and daughter. Bonepaw was fighting two warriors at once. It was then that his father died. A Thunderclanner had tried to hurt Owlpaw and he jumped in the way, he did manage to injure and send his assailant running before falling at Mudpaw`s feet. He said one last thing before passing on."Look after our family son."
Several moons later they were made warriors, and he recieved his first apprentice Moonpaw. She was trained to be an exceptional warrior, and Mudpaw was pleased with his accomplishment. Bonefang and Owlfeather became mates, and the moons dragged on. He still loathed Bonefang, even after the birth of there kits, his sisters kits. Mudtail had already decided to watch over the kits as if they were his own, afterall they were family. Rainkit was in Mudtails mind abused by his father, and he often consoled the tom. When his brother Rowankit died mysteriously he wanted to claw his fathers face off for glaring and treating it like it was Rainkits fault. He knew right at that moment that he was going to be a problem. He happily trained Daypaw his niece, and he tried to ready her for anything, but death took her as well, and seeing there fathers rage swell even more, took the chance to request to train Rainpaw. He taught him of the glory his old mentor Doveflight once told him , and the tales of the slightly older clan. He tried to instill confidence in his life again, and he succeeded in Rainpaw realizing that none of his families deaths was his doing.
The night Rainpaw was made Rainshadow he watched and smiled from the crowd. He could see the evil look in his fathers eyes, and scowled. Nothing good would come from such a relationship between father, son, and old acquaintance. One day Mudtail saw his father charge for his sons throat and he dashed from the bushes and knocked him far away from Rainshadow hissing and growling with immense hatred. It was a little satisfying for him being that he was able to hit him for once. He died shortly after and Mudtail was gratefull for the peace for his nephew.
Mudtail had to sit vigil for his old mentor when she died a peaceful death, and earned her place amongst there ancestors. He watched as Rainshadow grieved the loss of his own mate, and lost kits, and still looks after him.
Relatives: mother - Nightwing - alive Father - Sunsoul dead Siblings - Owlkit, Finchkit - dead Rainshadow - Nephew - alive RP Sample: not needed Other: Other Cats: Hailstar, Tornpaw

Name: Tornpaw - TornkitAge: 6 moons Gender: Tom Clan: ThunderClan Desired Rank: Kit Appearance: Tornpaw is a sandy gold colored striped tabby with vibrant green eyes. He has stripes like those of a tiger, which are misleading for him, as he is very gentle. His face gives him a very innocent and kind hearted look. His legs are very long, making him look tall rather than short and bulky. Short course fur lines his body, and it feels like a fine grained sandpaper to the touch. Being only six moons old he has no battle wounds or injuries. He was a healthy kit, so no debilitating weakness in his step or appearance. His build is medium, and he is very lanky, so most likely he won't fill out much more. Personality: Tornpaw is known for being cautious and patient, which surprises some because of his age. If other kits wanted to get into mischeif, he would gladly stay out of it. To him, being respectful was natural, and he hated getting in trouble. He respects all of his clan members equally, and tries to learn something from everyone he meet. He looks up to Slatestar and aspires to become the very best warrior for his clan. He doesn`t really have a great desire to become deputy. It just doesn`t matter as much to him, he belives that he still does as much good as a regular member. He wouldn`t mind raising a family to call his own someday, he just hopes that nothing will happen if he does become a father. If he were to lose someone else then he would be heart broken, being as he is currently the last of his bloodline. He is deeply worried by that, and doesn`t like the reaponsibility it puts on him.
History: His father Duskfall was an adverage warrior, though respected. His mother was called Redrise. He was born an only kit. His mother died giving birth to him, because she was weakened with sickness. His father was killed a week before he was born. Rumor had it that it was by a grey striped warrior from Riverclan.
He grew up without his parents, and without any real family. He was the last of his bloodline because his grandparents had all died and his parents didn`t have any siblings. From the start though, he was never alone. The clan made up for his lack of family. Eventhough his family was dead, it helped Tornpaw, to know that someone was at least watching him as he grew, and seeing his accomplishments. Even if they were watching him from Starclan. It made him into the proud cat he is to this day. He never held any vengeance towards his fathers killer, and refuses to hate the whole of Riverclan,, because of what one of there ranks did. He has just been named an apprentice and looks forward to receiving a mentor. Relatives: Redrise - mother dead Duskfall - father dead RP Sample: not needed not my first character Other: Other Cats: Hailstar

1. Defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least 6 moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all five Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among the Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Name: Hailstar - Hailflight- HailpawHailkitAge: 40 moons Gender: Tom Clan: RiverClan Desired Rank: Leader Appearance: ~Eyes~
Stones don`t look as bland as his blue gray spheres. They have the sad wanting look of one that has lost much, amd a chilling calm about them as well.
~Pelt~ He has a sandy looking medium grey toned pelt. It has wide darker grey stripes along his side. When they meet near the spine of his back, they fade into his lighter gray fur. So his spine is the same color as his undercoat. He has a thin long layer of fur. His tail is the lighter gray and medium in length. He also has a distint white tail tip.
~Build~ He is an adverage sized warrior, though that doesn`t make him any less of a threat in battle. Personality: Authoritative Hailstar was always in charge of her life. He knew since he was a kitten that no one would ever stop him from reaching his goals. He is not cocky, nor does she talk about others. He simply knows what she expects of herself, and is not afraid to go for it.
Smart He anaylzes everything. If there is an angle to something he`ll find it. This attribute has lead to his hunting skills, and helps him learn how best to face an opponent in battle. he has his flaws he isn`t perfect. In facts he over thinks things alot, and sometimes he can`t intialize his own plans, because he will miss something that was clear to him moments before. History: Kit~ Hailkit was born in a litter of three, and was the first born of that litter. His brother Troutkit and Sister Berrykit came shortly after. His was part of the second litter of kits, as his older brother was Whiskerpaw at the time. Reedfeather a small frail looking silver she cat they called mother, passed away while kitting them. Jayfur nursed them, and there father Timberclaw checked in on them when he could, but he couldn’t be there all the time, and though Jayfur nursed them she did not keep as much an eye on them as her own kits. She did not like having to watch out for them even though they were her clan. The three kits ran outside to play as often as they could, which with the lack of supervision on Jayfur’s part was quite often. If they weren’t getting under paw then they were making a racket, and almost always getting into trouble. Tigerleap the deputy at the time often rounded them up andsent them back into the nursey counting the days before they were apprentices and finally given to mentors that would teach them manners. She took a particular liking to Hailkit because of his wit, and general politeness compared to his siblings. One day while they were playing out in the camp, there was a raid by Windclan. Hailkit was picked up and tossed into the nursery by Whiskerpaw, but Berrykit and Troutkit were still outside. A vengeful old she cat from Windclan Gustfoot killed the two kits in retaliation for her son that was accidentally killed in battle with Riverclan not a moon earlier. Timberclaw devastated launched at Gustfoot and in his fury he made her lose her eyesight with a well placed strike. Apprentice ~ Hailpaw grew fast, and cautious after the raid. He was determined to become strong warrior for his kin that were no longer able to. He was overjoyed when he was given Tigerclaw as his mentor, the clan deputy. Her training was hard, and she rarely gave out praise, but he loved every minute of it. Four moons into his training a battle broke out withThunderclan. He was chosen to be in the battle, and fought another apprentice, and earning his first injury , a slash to his muzzle that scarred. His brother received his warrior name Whiskerstrike after the fight. Warrior~ His assessment went over very well,he caught a blackbird and two carp. He was known for being quick on his paws, and was a good hunter because of it, and hard to keep up with in battle training. It was also something he had to work hard on controlling. He was given his warrior name Hailflight for his sharp mind and loyalty. He was also given his first apprentice mousepaw a small grey tom with amber eyes. Hailflight successfully trained mousepaw until he became mousefur. Moons passed and the clan was at war with Windclan again. During on particularily brutal fight Tigerclaw fell when a scratch to the belly killed her. The clan retreated, and held a vigil for the lost deputy and the leader at the time Thrushstar refused to name a new deputy until starclan sent a sign. It was during that night when a storm broke out and it hailed, Thrushstar took that as the sign he needed and made Hailflight the next deputy. Thrushstar passed on during the following leafbare when she caught a bought of greencough, and refused herbs knowing it was her last life. Hailstar got his name afterwards.
Relatives: Mother - Reedfeather - DEAD Father- Timberclaw - alive Whiskerstrike - brother - alive Berrykit - dead Troutkit -dead RP Sample: Flickers of golden brown rushed against the foliage in the haste of Roughstar. His mood was spured on by the weather, and just the general feel of the day. As far as he knew, everyone else in the clan should have been as cheery as he was. Their hadn't been any battles in quite some time, and the forest was untouched by their rival clans thus far. Truthfully he was in an uproaringly positive mood, but he was determined to keep his clanmates on their toes. Though it was unusual for him to train with those in the clan in ways of sparring, he felt it would only improve their skills. Usually the leader often only trained the next deputy of a kit from a strong family or one that showed advanced skill. It never made any sense to him actually, though it would be ridiculous for him to take on the entire clan as their mentor, but being leader he was esentially already doing so.
The haste of his stampede through the forest had been entirely intentional. He was testing his warriors, and apprentices, or which ever cats had decided to follow him from the camp. He hadn't counted how many cats were present at the time, so he wondered how many would show. Roughstar hoped that they would be panicked, yet still trained enough to respond to this fake emergency with the guile and grace a warrior should show. His foot falls, though quick, were very intentionally placed and barely made a sound. He was keeping his ears tilted to try and hear how loud his clan was being in there haste.
Ironically he had the most bizarre grin plastered to his face. It was jovial in nature and he was trying to keep himself from smiling. Once he made it to the training hollow, he cast a glave over his shoulder, now showing his close mouthed smile to his clan as they began to arrive. His brother Backlash was on his heels, as expected. Roughstar wasn't surprised to see his less then happy face. His brother was such a grouch, but then again he knew making him happy was not a subject to cross into as it might involve his death, and he really wanted to keep his lives for as long as possible. Still it wouldn't keep him from being civilized. " Hello brother. Eager to rush off now are you? Sorry to dissapoint you.
To this Backlash was quick to deepen his scowl. His body form fitted Roughstar's, as he was just as built and fluffy. His coat was a deep mahogany brown though, with darker brown marks and lighter browns entwined within the darker coloring. His eyes were a more snake like green and chilling to those that looked for long. Roughstar was more of a noble and warm eyed tom, while Backlash though loyal to Thunderclan, was like a storm within itself, as his moods were dark, and damn those that caused his annoyance. His voice leeched with barely a shread of contempt rang out. " Not surprising that one so high and mighty would waste the time of his lessers."Every word was lached with sarcasm. Backlash considered himself to be the equal if not his brother's better, and he coveted the position of leader for himself, having lost it to his brother due to age diffrence and mentorship. As of yet he had never planned to harm his brother no matter how much he hated his position in the clan, but things were unsteady between them. " So what scheme are you about now?"
Enhancing his grin to reveal a little tooth, he sat and curled his big tail in front of his paws. " I'm making sure the common life hadn't effected your temper, and your claws." He was teasing of course, but the dark cloud that formed on Backlash's face was unamusing. " Oh do lighten up. I'm making sure the clan is keeping their wits about them. To which Backlash spat out " Yes because without a maniac to scream at us in the camp before galavanting through the forest at the speed of light like the floor beneath his paws is on fire, we would all have been absolutly unprepared."in a harsh retort. Roughstar licked a paw quickly before speaking again. " Was I truely going that fast.... hmm rather notable don't you think?" That comment had Backlash jumping at him, and they collided in a tussel rolling around on the sand paws darting at one another.

Welcome to the FAQ concerning the NPCs on the site. Please read through the ones already here in case one of them answers your question. If you have any questions that aren't here, feel free to PM me or Nighthunter. What are NPCs?NPCs stand for Non-Playable Characters, though on this site they are roleplayable. What are they for?To aid in RP threads! They're also there to help balance out the clans, since most members only make kits, apprentices, and warriors. There have to be some elders, too, to make apprentice chores more interesting >:3. Rogue, loner, StarClan, and DarkForest NPCs are another matter. They're for staff members to RP to bring some excitement into threads--a rogue preystealing for example, or a StarClan cat to deliver messages and signs. Are they any canon NPCs?Of course not. Only real characters are allowed to be plot characters, so don't worry. High spots are also only allowed to real characters. Can I make an NPC?Yes, as long as you're a registered member. They're like making a regular character, except on a much simpler scale. You might find them useful for making the relatives of one of your cats. That way you can still have [insert cat here]'s parents still alive, or their sibling, but you don't have to RP them as you would a real character. Just keep in mind that NPCs can be RPed by anyone, not just yourself. Also, when you make one they'll still have to be accepted and added to the official lists. How many NPCs can I make?Preferably not too many. There will be some premade NPCs, and we don't want there to be too many. Can I only RP an NPC?No. You have to at least one actual character if you're planning to make NPCs. When you make a thread, you can only your cat, but you can incorporate an NPC into it. Like if Redpaw just gave fresh-kill to the elders, you could have him say like, "That Oldpelt is such a grouch." What's 'modding'?Modding is when a staff enters a thread using an NPC to make things more interesting. Usually this is done with just non-clan cats that are intruding. More battles, you see. Also, if we find a thread that no one is replying to, we might RP an NPC into it to give it some life. We'll only mod threads that are open, or directly asking for a mod. Can NPCs be killed?Yes, though it won't be overdone. They might be used in site plots as extra casualties to make things more realistic. What kind of NPCs will there be?Rogues, loners, elders, StarClan cats, and a few Dark Forest cats. Kits, apprentices, and warriors will all either need mentoring, need to mentor, and NPCs are not allowed to do those things.
