event ! It's new leaf and an outbreak of Greencough has already made it's way into the Windclan camp. Many cats have caught the illness and are coughing and wheezing, causing it to spread like a wildfire. Because the outrageous number of sick cats within the clan, Whitefleck is stressed and cannot handle all the patients. It's up to you to help your clanmates from the brink of death and stop the spread of the terrible chest infection. Remember that you not only have to take care of others but yourself! Being around the disease too often increases the chances of you getting it.
Keep in mind that the actions your cat makes can cause the clan to come out strong and thriving or result in the death of many cats and becoming a frail clan. But don't feel like it's just you the clan is depending on! Whitefleck and your friends will aid you on this life-and-death situation.

& what lies lurk in kisses- - - - for that face that launched a thousand ships "Who are those cats?" Eagleflight shifted to his eager apprentice at her question and half-whispered into her ear, "That large grey tom you see is Hailstar, Riverclan's leader. The white tom," He paused for a slight moment, looking at the far-off leader up and down quickly, "is Shadowclan's leader, Icestar. Take care not to get caught under his deathly gaze. Eagleflight warned her half-heartedly. Straightening up, he commented in a normal tone of voice, "And this is Runningstorm, Riverclan's deputy. Make sure you show him respect, he is a noble cat." Worry flooded him. Where was Sparrowstar? The sleek black she-cat had asked them to go on without her and that if she didn't show, he would need to step up for her.
Sighing, he had hoped she would have just decided to stay at the clan altogether. Now Windclan would look even weaker with Eagleflight just now approaching the great rock. A chill rippled through him but he did his best to fight back the fear. He would make his clan proud and look strong, no matter what it took. He only knew the two leaders would make some sort of nasty comment. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt. Eagleflight chuckled to himself as he repeated the common quote. Glancing at Runningstorm, he stood up. "I apologize for the abrupt departure, but I must represent my clan right now." With a dip of his head, he left to the height of the large and over-looking stone.
He felt bad for leaving Soaringpaw back there but she would be just fine with other young apprentices around. A social butterfly, some may say. Eagleflight walked with his head high and proud, easily climbing up on the rock with agility and speed. Meeting with the two leaders, Eagleflight gave them a courteous nod."Greetings Hailstar, Icestar." Glancing around, it was now that the Egyptian Mau realized the almighty Thunderclan was not present at the gathering. How odd... It seemed like that would be the clan to adhere to the full moon the greatest. Now a burning curiosity flared inside of him.
He felt very uneasy with the two ambitious leaders beside him. Eagleflight prayed to Starclan that a fight would not break the full moon's truce. It was this time that he valued the moon's bright glow. It was almost calming in a way. His watchful gaze swept over the perimeter of the area. Windclan looked fairly large compared to Shadowclan, but he knew all too well the outbreak that spread across the clan. In fact, Eagleflight hadn't even thought about what he was going to say about the clan. Probably not the infectious outbreak of greencough haunting many of the cats. A new fear flooded him and it seemed almost like he was a new leader... and maybe he would be. Sparrowstar seemed fragile and weak and it had been some time since she shared any news on the amount of lives she had left.
It made him... nervous. Very nervous.

& what lies lurk in kisses- - - - for that face that launched a thousand ships Eagleflight padded towards the gathering area with a calm and subtle authority. Outside, he portrayed a cat that had no worries about his clan. On the inside, the tom was very nervous. What might be said by him or any cat could have the other clans ready to attack them after the full moon gathering. Windclan couldn't afford such costs, even if they had a larger quantity of cats. Prey was well but not enough and Eagleflight feared Shadowclan might sense their weakness. Wrinkling his nose, he held in a snarl. The Egyptian Mau despised the snakes for cats and he knew it was an unfair judgement but the stories of Shadowclan driving out Windclan and treating them like scum hung in the back of his mind and he did his best not to hold a serious grudge against in cat in particular.
Eagleflight's gaze turned to Hailstar, Riverclan's leader, who had apparently arrived first from the talk of his clan. The Riverclan leader was fairly new and the tom was somewhat weary of him. He never knew what the slippery cats had up their fur and it had him on edge. He was excited to know what would happen, exciting or not. Turning his head, he glanced back to make sure Soaringpaw was keeping herself together. This would be her first gathering and he held high hopes for her. He knew she'd make friends easily with the other apprentices but hoped she wouldn't get too friendly. Slowly, he dropped behind to the young apprentice and murmured quiet enough for no other cat to hear, "Remember to have fun, Soaringpaw. Also remember not to let slip anything that may make our clan appear weak and vulnerable. Same as for gloating, some clans are greedy and will want to take anything good of ours away." He looked her in the eyes and winked playfully and then in a normal tone said, "You'll make plenty of friends.
Spotting Shadowclan's white-furred leader, Eagleflight couldn't help but let his fur ruffle up momentarily. Keep it together, Eagleflight. You're Windclan's second representative, remember that. The tom started speaking something to his warriors and Eagleflight listened as best is he could with interest. "Loose tongues... personally... claw... off" Chuckling, he could already guess what was being said to the warriors. Holding his head pridefully, the Windclan deputy was sure that his warriors wouldn't need to be told that. Of course, that was his bias opinion.
Eagleflight looked around for any cat interesting and spotted Runningstorm. Though Riverclan's deputy, he was a smart and respectable cat. Eagleflight held no ill-will towards the older and more experienced warrior. Casually slipping over, he dipped his head with respect. "Runningstorm, how's the prey going on your side of the territory?" His tone was friendly and calm, bearing no bitterness or hard-heart. The scent of fish hung strongly on his fur and Eagleflight did his best not to wrinkle his nose, he didn't wish to offend the older tom.
A calm breeze combed through his short an spotted fur, and the deputy looked at the night sky. Everything seemed calm and the night had no sign of a cloud, not even a wisp. As if that would last for long. All leaders were sure to share something that would step on the other's tail, even if it were unintentional. It seemed everything that was said would get under the fur of any cat. He was no exception. If anything was directed, even subtly, to Windclan in a threatening way, Eagleflight was sure to give his say in it. He would never sit back and let his clan be unjustly accused of anything. Even justly.

As Soarpaw shook her head, Eaglelfight relaxed. "Good, but if at any time you feel a genuine pain anywhere, let me know and you can go to the medicine cat." Her sheepish grin to him telling her to watch her pawsteps had him laugh out loud. Moving steadily back to the top of the hill, he heard Soaringpaw ask inquisitively behind him, "But whats the point of standing up there and staring off into space? Its not like prey is going to fall over if we stare at it. Are we watching for danger from other clans?" Eagleflight yet again took a seat back up on Rabbit Hill and gazed around, then back to her. "We are not staring into space, first of all. We are neither looking for danger, though that's a feasible answer." Shaking his head, Eagleflight turned his gaze to his apprentice.
"I want you to tell me what you hear, feel, and see. And not just in one place, but all around you. Once you've mastered picking out your area, you'll be able to know what's behind you without even needing to see it." It felt almost odd all over again, to be teaching what he once never knew. It had pride swell within, like a kit turning into an apprentice. Or an apprentice turning into a warrior. Eagleflight shuddered slightly, remember his mother almost abruptly. He wondered if she were watching him and at that moment a soft breeze brushed past his fur. She was.
Eagleflight studied Soaringpaw's behaviors. "It is important, as you have learned twice today, to always know what is in front of you whenever you set your paws down. Had that rabbit hole you tripped in gone straight down or been larger, you could have broken your paw. The same applies with the root. An apprentice who can't walk is an apprentice who can't train." he reminded her gently.

Eagleflight's ear twitched as Soaringpaw hit camp. Still unfazed by anything, Soaringpaw zoomed after the rabbit like a hungry bear. He'd have to talk with her about her behavior soon, but the tom always believed in turning to gentle reprimanding rather than a cold one. Most cats seemed to react and feel better about themselves that way. Plus he had faith in his overly hyper apprentice. While she was much too willing to jump into the action without a game plan, Soaringpaw had great potential as a Windclan cat.
Praying to Starclan the young she-cat wouldn't break her paw on the second day of training, Eagleflight watched with the stare of a hawk. He nearly missed the jutting root that protruded from the uneven grounds. 'There she goes...' Second time in the day, Soaringpaw literally soared as she hit the gnarled danger. Shaking his head, he got up.
Paws shuffling, Soaringpaw looked thoroughly embarrassed. Raising a brow, Eagleflight approached her calmly. Studying her paws and legs for any sign of being broken, he sighed. It looked as if everything was in place. 'Thank Starclan...' Eagleflight was bemused by how sturdy the lithe Windclanner seemed. Still, he would not take chances. "Are you hurt at all?" He lay the tip of his long tail gently on Soaringpaw's shoulder blades and smiled softly. "That was very impressive, Soaringpaw. The clan would be proud of how fast you ran. You would have caught that rabbit had you not been foolish enough to ignore your surroundings."
Standing up, Eagleflight lifted his tail. "That's an important lesson to be learned, young one. There will be plenty of hunting and and fighting practices for you to release all your pent up energy and," Glancing over to Soaringpaw, he continued, "Soon you should be able to catch any rabbit that runs past your paws... without tripping. But enough babbling." He beckoned her back to the top of the hill. "There is a training session to be started and we have yet to even begin."

Eagleflight thought he saw a flash of annoyance in the cats eyes but it was quickly brushed off with a look of excitement. Impressed by her still giddy mood, even after her tumble, the Windclan deputy chuckled. This cat would never cease to amuse him. Soaringpaw was obviously confused at what he was trying to get her to do, as her head whipped between his own face and to what he was looking at, which really was nothing in particular. Eagleflight knew this lesson would not end soon and he quickly appreciated getting an early start. It seemed as if it would be some time before they would even begin the introduction.
Suddenly Eagleflight noticed Soaringpaw's head whip around. Before he could even get a glimpse of what she had seen, Soaringpaw was off. The white and ginger apprentice speedily raced after a rabbit, her movements a bit cluttered compared to a senior warrior. Personally interested to see if a rookie apprentice could catch a clever rabbit, he sat under a path of sun and watched intently at her run. Plus, what good would it have been to both of them to try and stop her? The young cat would learn from her mistakes and that would make her a better warrior in the end. While Soaringpaw was all over the place, her speed was impressive. Close to it's heels, Eagleflight perked his ears in deep interest. If she managed to catch the rabbit, he'd be thoroughly impressed.
The wind blew through the leaves of nearby bushes, murmuring a sweet song into the aged tom's ears. It seemed like only yesterday he was in Soaringpaw's place, all too eager to prove on his first days that he was already a great hunter. He, of course, didn't catch a rabbit until a week into practice. Still, it seemed like such a prize. Eagleflight would swell with as much pride as Soaringpaw when she would catch her first prey.

Eagleflight calmly watched Soaringpaw sweep with Windclan speed along the imperfect hill, scored with the homes of many prey. The tall tom remembered being assigned to the young, energetic she-cat. Sparrowstar assigned Soaringpaw to him in hopes he could take reign of the the orange patched apprentice. Shaking his head to himself, Eagleflight chuckled. Reigning this cat with what seemed like endless energy would never be possible. Instead he intended to direct her hyper personality to something that would help the clan in more ways than one.
The day was still in it's early stages. Eagleflight wanted to train Soaringpaw for as long as possible, in hopes to spare the other apprentices from another night of difficult sleep. Still, he appreciated the she-cats eagerness to begin. He only hoped it would be that way always, knowing that this might just be because Soaringpaw is a new apprentice.
The Egyptian Mau steadily watched her approach a well-hidden rabbit hole with no intents to stop. It was obvious that she had no knowledge of it and would soon learn her lesson in not paying attention to her surroundings. Eagleflight knew well enough that the trip would only leave her thoroughly sore, which meant the hopeful production of muscles. Sure enough, Soaringpaw went flying into a mound of dirt. As if on cue, a rabbit had appeared in front of her and almost mockingly ran off.
Whiskers twitching, Eagleflight approached his now dirty apprentice. "Well,' he started in a sarcastic tone. "You certainly live up to your prefix, eh?" With a gentle nudge of the paw, the tom looked at her sternly. "Come on then, you'll be fine. That will teach you not to be so ignorant of your surroundings. That will be our first lesson." With the flick of his tail, Eagleflight beckoned Soaringpaw over to the top of the hill. "Stand beside me and look around." he ordered. He would waste no time with silly, unproductive games.
